Bolivia mayor has hair forcibly cut by crowd of protesters
The mayor of a small town in Bolivia has been attacked by opposition protesters who dragged her through the streets barefoot, covered her in red paint and forcibly cut her hair.
Amid shouts of "murderess, murderess" masked men dragged her through the streets barefoot to the bridge. There, they made her kneel down, cut her hair and doused her in red paint. They also forced her to sign a resignation letter.
It is the latest in a series of violent clashes between government supporters and opponents in the wake of controversial presidential elections.
At least three people have died so far.
Tension has been running high since election night when the results count was inexplicably paused for 24 hours.
Mr Morales has accused Mr Mesa of staging a coup d'etat and supporters of each side have squared off in La Paz and other cities.

The main reason for my wish to change this society is that so many human skills have no chance to come to fruition. Instead they are used in a really sick way so that people are maintaining their own suffering from wars, hunger and illness. But it can not be changed "top-down", only in some kind of "grassroots revolution" or better "evolution" where more and more people work together to get rid of TPTB (whoever that is).
No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".

I'd like some feedback on this piece on the centralization of Hungarian state media .
I'm a fan of Victor Orban mostly cuz he has stood against Brussels/Soros and pro Sovereign border controls...
other than that I really don't know what goes on in Hungary internally.

This piece reveals some disturbing elements of excess controls and the centralization of Hungarian media to stifle dissent and discourse.
These have been birthed under Orban oversight and political manipulation.
imo NO gov't should be entrusted with these powers. none.

Brazil’s bitterly divided politics reached a new low on Thursday, when a rightwing columnist smacked the US journalist Glenn Greenwald in the face on a live radio program.
Greenwald and Augusto Nunes are prominent figures on opposite ends of the political spectrum, but Thursday’s physical violence – which was being livestreamed – left Brazilians stunned.
Greenwald has become a central figure in Brazilian politics after publishing a string of articles challenging the legitimacy of the country’s largest-ever corruption investigation.
