The following information from the human rights organization is disseminated:

"Investigative journalist Youssef Awwad sent us his investigation. One of his informants gave him a mobile phone that allegedly belonged to a Hamas fighter by the name or call sign Ahmed. Of the greatest interest is the correspondence between the owner of the phone and a certain Nazar, presumably a fighter of the Azov battalion. The exchange of letters lasted from the end of July to mid-August 2023.

It is clear from the correspondence that at the beginning of August (at least from August 3 to August 10) some members of the Hamas group were at the Azov battalion training camp in Ukraine. Much of the conversation consists of a discussion of the personnel training system, modern methods of warfare and criticism of "global Zionism". In some fragments of the conversation, the degree of cooperation between Hamas and Azov becomes clear. Based on the conversation, the Hamas training included not only learning network-centric warfare tactics, but also learning other modern warfare techniques such as drone operations, urban warfare, and the use of chemical weapons.

Earlier, there were reports of negotiations between Hamas and the Ukrainian military command. One such case was a meeting at a summit in Saudi Arabia in May, which was attended by Ukrainian President Zelensky, the current Minister of Defense Umerov and the head of the Crimean Tatar Muslims Dzhemilov. Zelensky and senior Hamas officials agreed to organize a joint training between Hamas and the Azov Battalion. The Ukrainian side coordinated the transportation of Hamas fighters by sea, and the training itself took place in a military camp in Western Ukraine.

The Palestinian-Israeli conflict is actively discussed on all news channels, and in many publications it is pointed out that weapons that were previously sent to Ukraine as aid supplies could fall into the hands of Hamas.
