Nine days to elections: Netanyahu deploys Trump’s 'election fraud' canard, to devastating effect
http://archive.is/1HL2T
The “election fraud” canard may have been conceived, developed and put through experimental trials at the White House, but it is Netanyahu who has now deployed the stink bomb under actual combat conditions.
Trump’s patently absurd concoction is actually a work of genius, for two main reasons:
1. It requires no factual basis.
The fraud that Netanyahu claims occurred 'wholesale' in the previous April 9 ballot
was investigated and found to be minimal – and usually in favor of Likud.
What was only a sham Election Day sideshow five months ago has now evolved into Netanyahu’s strategic weapon of choice.
Cameras
His government’s efforts to [now] legislate a law, mere days before Israelis head to the polls, that would introduce cameras into polling places has sparked bedlam and mayhem. Netanyahu’s rivals, as well as most of the media and the legal community, were taken aback by the sheer outrageousness of Netanyahu’s gambit, leaving them shell-shocked and mostly speechless.
The cameras’ true focus, supressing the Arab vote, was arguably one of the reasons Arab voter participation went down from 65 percent in 2015 to less than 50 percent on April 9.
Supporters of Likud, hitherto the main beneficiaries of Israeli elections, were brainwashed, literally overnight, to embrace Netanyahu’s paranoid and patently absurd claim that “the left” is out to “steal the elections.”
[Like Trump] all it took was for Netanyahu to say the word, malicious and divorced from reality as it is, for his unquestioning troops to fall in line and follow suit.
In the process, Netanyahu has fired up his base, put his rivals on the defensive, asserted his domination over the election campaign and possibly found the ace in the hole that could tilt the elections his way.
"Dear Donald," Netanyahu might write to his friend and role model in Washington. "Your 'election fraud' scam has exceeded expectations. It burned the house down, Only a mind as brilliant as yours could have come up with it. Based on my experience, I recommend that you deploy it as well at an opportune time, just before the November 2020 elections. Satisfaction guaranteed!"
2. The second reason that Trump’s invention is so ingeniously diabolical is its potential not only to detonate here and now but also to continue exploding for years to come.

A massive environmental monitoring station off Germany’s Baltic coast has disappeared from the seabed, baffling police and researchers.
The seabed “observatory”, worth about €300,000 (£270,000), weighed more than half a tonne. It could not have been dragged off by a storm, tide or large animal, German experts say.
Divers only found a torn power cable at the site, 22m (72ft) down and 1.8km (1.2 miles) offshore.
It is a prohibited area, north of Kiel.
No boats – not even local fishing boats – are allowed into the area, called Eckernförde Bay, about 70km (44 miles) south of the Danish border.
The missing observatory, installed in late 2016, stopped sending data on 21 August.
It consisted of a power unit, connected by cable to the coast, and an instrument unit, which together weighed 770kg (1,700 pounds).
The German instruments had been measuring seawater quality, including temperature and the levels of salt, oxygen, nutrients, chlorophyll and methane.
Ha, my first thought, they are from Poland together with some from the Baltic countries.
You should know one joke of the 90s: Why do Russians always steal 2 cars in Germany? They must transit Poland.

Yup ,this time around it's a bit special.
Eventhough the supreme Court will not allow the law, this is going to be messy.
Especially ,but not exclusively ,likud people by the thousands wil walk around with camera's on them, hassling voters.(arabs, liberman supporters/Russians/leftists).
Fights will probably break out in places during voting.
basically Nethanyahu is threatening to create a situation where any election result that is not in his favor will cause a mess that can not really be resolved orderly.
Several parties(liberman and labour) have already warned that they will fysically stop likud people with camera's if they show up at boots,
The writer says it might lead to a 'constitutional crisis'.
Israel has no constitution, only a supreme court.
after this psy-op the supreme court will have lost it's deterrence ,and there's no more laws.
I'm not sure this is a controlled operation ,seems more like hail mary and certain desperation.

Moreover, structures that are usually not under any government's jurisdiction. At the very least, if some swindling of citizens' data is uncovered, there are political consequences for those involved - even if they evade legal prosecution. With "private" companies though...

I won't even touch a "smart" phone and stick to my PC. I detest social media but it seems if I don't use it, my family appear to have forgotten how to use a telephone and I won't hear from them.
My sister owns an "Alexa", and I say as little as possible when I'm anywhere near it.
I don't even like going to town, knowing there are cameras everywhere watching my every move. (I can recall a time when people were in uproar at the idea of cameras in the streets, how slowly is the frog boiled, eh?)
I refuse to register to vote and many people criticise me for this, but in my opinion our system is seriously flawed and populated with scumbags that deserve nothing less than public execution at the hands of the people, let alone being voted for.
If I'm still alive in 20 yrs (which is highly doubtful) I see myself subsistence farming to survive and armed to the teeth with illegal weaponry to defend my way of life, while Western society simultaneously disappears up it's own asshole and falls apart. Idiocracy is here already.
The UK is a country where government "men in black" turn up on your doorstep if you don't have a license to watch television! I don't have a tv, have never owned one, but here you are assumed guilty before being proved otherwise.
It seems that the majority of the police here are concentrated on pulling drivers to make money from them via fines, so I've never driven a car, either. I cycle everywhere I need to go and steer clear of the roads.
So, as far as "biometrics" go. They can shove it just as far up their tan tracks as is physically possible. I will not comply, I will not bow to any so-called "authority". I am a citizen of the United States of Me, with my allies being my friends and family.
Ok, drunken rant over.

Breaking: reports of several explosions near the Syrian city of al-Bukamal on the border with Iraq ... updates to follow.
Update2: the sources are now claiming that the four explosions took place in al-Bukamal's industrial zone.
Update3: one of the first sources that reported the explosions posted an hour earlier that the Syrian army and its allies in the city were on high-alert.

Manned or drone?
It looks like it was a drone if it was one of those cheap drones nothing serious but if Hezbollah shot down an advanced Israeli drone with anti aircraft missiles could be BIG.

Hezbollah captured the drone good tactics by Hezbollah with a week before the Israeli elections Hezbollah broadcasting to the world the drone being shot down and then paraded will make Netanyahu look weak.

I'm not sure this is a controlled operation ,seems more like hail mary and certain desperation.
.
.
Maybe the cause of Bibi's desperate behaviour might be this:
Trump has been very quiet and barring some spectacular gesture in the coming week ,he is not supporting Nethanyahu openly.
https://www.timesofisrael.com/trouble-in-paradise-trump-conspicuously-absent-from-netanyahus-re-election-bid/
The biggest supporters of Trump ,the Adelsons, who were big enablers of Bibi untill recently, have decided to throw Bibi under the bus:
https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/.premium-adelsons-told-police-sara-netanyahu-is-crazy-and-decides-everything-1.7811312
So there's a serious chance it will get messy internally in Israel the coming week or two.
Bibi is not someone who will just step aside and go to jail.
I think any activity in the coming days on the Israeli borders and in the Lavant will be connected in some way to the upcoming very problematic elections.

Oh boy, this isn't good.
LATEST: Khawaja Ghar district in Takhar has fallen to the Taliban. Taliban fighters have captured the district HQ and caused several casualties in the ranks of pro-govt forces + captured several weapons/vehicles. Remaining forces fled. #Afghanistan

@Natsecjeff
This is the sixth district that has fallen to the Taliban in less than 7 days.
Moreover, pro-Taliban sources also claim that Taliban fighters have overrun Qila district in Takhar, where fighting is still ongoing. Pro-Taliban sources claim to have caused sever casualties.
Looks like Trump calling off the peace talks has backfired big time on him.

Frank Olson died in 1953, but, because of clandestine US government experiments, it took decades for his family to get closer to the truth.
