Erdogan publicly acknowledges that Turkey abandoned its condition of 32 km-deep safe zone in Syria, and accepted a narrower one.

“I told Defense Minister Akar that we should begin to work with what [Americans had proposed]. Then we can do the necessary in the future.”

In regards to Israel its worth remembering that the people in Lebanon are the true people of Israel.

The cultural and linguistic heritage of the Lebanese people is a blend of both indigenous Phoenician elements and the foreign cultures that have come to rule the land and its people over the course of thousands of years. In a 2013 interview the lead investigator, Pierre Zalloua, pointed out that genetic variation preceded religious variation and divisions: "Lebanon already had well-differentiated communities with their own genetic peculiarities, but not significant differences, and religions came as layers of paint on top. There is no distinct pattern that shows that one community carries significantly more Phoenician than another."

Haplogroup J2 is also a significant marker in throughout Lebanon (~30%). This marker found in many inhabitants of Lebanon, regardless of religion, signals pre-Arab descendants, including the Phoenicians/Aramaens. These genetic studies show us there is no significant differences between the Muslims and non-Muslims of Lebanon.[6] Genealogical DNA testing has shown that 21.3% of Lebanese Muslims (non-Druze) belong to the Y-DNA haplogroup J1 compared with non-Muslims at 17%.[7] Although Haplogroup J1 finds its putative origins in the Arabian peninsula, studies show that it has been present in the Levant since the times of the Canaanites and does not necessarily indicate Arab descent.[8] Other haplogroups present among Lebanese Shia include E-M96 (19%), Haplogroup K-M9* (LT) (undifferentiated) at 11.7%, G-M201 (10.2%) and others at less frequencies.

Genetics aside, the population of pre-Islamic Lebanon was mainly Phoenician who began to speak Aramaic. Under Byzantine rule, this Aramaen population was Hellenized and adopted the Greek language alongside their native Aramaic. It is important to note that most villages and towns in Lebanon today have Aramaic names, reflecting this forgotten heritage. Alongside the natives, small pockets of Greeks, Arabs, and Persians moved in and assimilated into the population. Amongst these pre-Islamic Arabs, Banu Amela has importance for the Lebanese Shia for adopting and nurturing Shi'ism for the southern population. As the Islamic expansion reached Lebanon, these Arab tribes received the most power which encouraged the rest of the population to adopt Arabic as the main language.

As you can see the Lebanese people descend from the Phoenician/Arameans/Canaanite peoples and even the jews admit that the Canaanites were in so called Israel before them and Moses killed or displaced them.

Former Top FARC Guerrilla Calls for Return to War in Colombia

In the video, Mr. Márquez, whose rank is currently unknown, appears alongside two other rebel commanders whose whereabouts have been unknown. All appeared armed and in uniform, flanked by other rebels in what seemed to be a new guerrilla camp in the jungle.

Luciano Marín, the former top commander of Colombia’s largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces, during the signing of a peace agreement in 2016.

Three years ago next month, FARC signed a peace deal with the government meant to end a 52-year war in which an estimated 220,000 people were killed and millions were displaced from their homes. Mr. Márquez had been one of the negotiators of the accords, which were hammered out over years in Cuba.
“This is a continuation of the guerrilla struggle in response to the betrayal of the state’s betrayal of the Havana accords,” he said. “It’s the march of Colombia’s poor, ignored and despised, toward justice, which glimmers in the hills of the future.”

IDF IDENTIFIES IRANIAN OFFICERS BEHIND HEZBOLLAH'S SECRET MISSILE PROJECT IN LEBANON.

Israel claiming Hezbollah only has a few dozen precision missiles in the article that has to be bullshit as even the Houthis has used 100s of precision missiles to hit Saudi forces and its way harder to get weapons to them than Hezbollah.

Also Israel had no idea that Hezbollah had C-802 anti ship missiles and Kornet anti tank missiles in 2006 war.

Talos wrote:In regards to Israel its worth remembering that the people in Lebanon are the true people of Israel.

In general I agree, only some small corrections. The Phoinikoi, the Aramaioi and all the others are "Western Semites". They are very similiar anyhow. To the North there were Indo-European Hittites in Northern Syria and to the South was the Sinai with the fortified Egyptian border. They all used the Aramaic language for communication. 333 BC Alexander changed this and a lot of Greek cities were founded in the region, especially Antiochia in the North. The Greek language was very fashionable and all people were "Hellenizing". This situation did not change under the Roman empire, the Byzantine empire and not even under the Umayyad dynasty. The Abbasid dynasty moved the capital from Damaskus to Baghdad and Arabic became the official language and replaced Greek and Aramaic. The Greek and Aramaic texts were translated into Arabic.

The Shia in Lebanon and Syria is a complicated matter. There is the 7er Shia from the Egyptian Fatimids: Nizari (the infamous Hashishin) and their offspring the Druze. There are 12er Shia from Iran (Hezbollah). And the Nusayri, who came from Kurdistan. They consider themselves Shia, but neither the 7er nor the 12er accept this. Assad belongs to this group.

It is a major development in the conflict, as the UAE, one of the key members of Saudi-led coalition, attacks from the air the #Yemen|i army. These are good news for the Houthis and #Iran

Al-Jazeera Host Faisal Al-Qassem In Qatari Dailies: U.S. Policy Serves Iranian Interests At Expense Of Region's Countries

"In two articles he published recently in Qatari dailies, Faisal Al-Qassem, a host on the Qatari Al-Jazeera network, harshly attacked the U.S. policy on Iran, which he said serves Iranian interests at the expense of the Gulf countries and Turkey. In the first article, published in the Al-Sharq and Al-Quds Al-Arabi dailies, he wrote that U.S. President Donald Trump's passivity in the face of Iran's recent aggression – i.e., the attacks on oil tankers and downing of a U.S. drone – is part of an American-Iranian game aimed at blackmailing the Gulf countries into paying America for securing the oil shipping lanes. He even hinted that the U.S. itself may be behind some of the attacks on vessels in the Gulf, with the aim of blackmailing not only the Gulf countries but the entire world. In the second article, published in the same papers one week later, Al-Qassem, who is of Syrian origin and opposes Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, accused the West, and especially the U.S., of encouraging the expansion of Shi'ite Iran in the region and particularly in Syria, in order to create a new Middle East in which Iran is the leading player"
