President Trump has increased sanctions on Iran.
Sanctions are not a more humane alternative to war, but just another form of war. They are perhaps the cruelest form of war because they do not target the military of an adversary, but rather the innocent civilian population.
Trump is in war with numerous countries. Moreover it's very cowardly kind of war. Exactly what suits to him pretty well.
Houthi resistance portrays the exact opposite: bravery and courage.

Re: #34 - Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/30/politics/donald-trump-foreign-leader-calls-coaching/index.html
President Donald Trump was often so unprepared for calls with foreign leaders that he was coached by several staff members and advisers as the calls took place to avoid veering off track, a source familiar with the calls through White House chief of staff John Kelly's tenure.
Trump often had to be reeled in by White House staff during calls with foreign leaders, adding that "Kelly would sometimes mute the call so staffers in the room could give the President guidance or advise him against saying something he shouldn't say."
"Kelly always wanted a bunch of us to be there in the Oval (Office) ... to just babysit on these calls,"
"He would go on random tangents about the Mueller investigation with foreign leaders ... it was unnecessary and unhelpful," the source said. "And sometimes he just wouldn't have his facts straight and he would really rattle some of the foreign leaders with whom he spoke."
"Eventually they figured it out and they adjusted, but those calls were nothing like what a normal call would be between presidents."
"We were there to coach him in real time, because he was so impervious to coaching ahead of time," the source said, but conceded that "if the President was determined to say something, you couldn't really press mute."
"There was no stopping him. But when there was a lag because a long translation was going on, Kelly would mute the call so that staff in the room could give guidance,"
These incidents included Trump "talking to one foreign leader about another in a completely inappropriate way" and Trump just generally not knowing "how to be diplomatic."

Prime Minister Saad Hariri, second from left, with his wife Lara, their son Hussam
gave more than $16 million to a South African bikini model
The model also received an Audi R8 Spyder, a Land Rover Evoque, and another $1 million later for her expenses.
Mr. Hariri, a married father of three, was sufficiently wealthy to have made the payments himself. Forbes magazine estimated his net worth in 2013 at $1.9 billion, thanks largely to business interests he inherited after his father, Rafik Hariri, who also served as prime minister, was assassinated in Beirut in 2005.
Since then, the younger Hariri has remained one of Lebanon’s best known political figures. He makes frequent state visits to Paris, Washington and Riyadh and favors pro-Western policies, but heads a power-sharing government that includes Hezbollah, the Lebanese militant group and political party backed by Iran.
He was 43 at the time of the first transfer, in 2013. He was then running family businesses in construction and other domains and living in France and Saudi Arabia.
In the suit, she argues that she had to sell the house because the asset freeze prevented her from paying for its upkeep.
She also says the court cases and related publicity had caused irreparable damage to her career and severed her link to Mr. Hariri.
“The plaintiff’s relationship with Mr. Hariri was terminated, which resulted in the loss of financial benefits
that would have accrued to her from the relationship if it had been allowed to persist without outside interference,” the suit says.
in 2011, she said her interests included listening to Jack Johnson and Celine Dion, riding Jet Skis and flying helicopters with her father.
Then in May 2013, her assets suddenly soared, thanks to a transfer of $15,299,965 from a Lebanese bank.
“Lady luck, it would seem, suddenly smiled on the applicant,” a South African judge wrote in 2015.
