Sec. Pompeo on CNN, in response to question about killing #Soleimani bringing US-#Iran closer to war said: “This war kicked off when JCPOA was entered into” I kid you not.
But, from certain point he can be right, actually. It is possible that JCPOA was signed because Israel and US believed that Iran won't observe it thus they will get legal means to start agression. However, the plan failed and Iran respected the deal...
Aye it's like we've seen before with DPRK

These two statements are not mutually exclusive. You may recall that the Iraqi government formally requested that the Obama administration intervene, and they said no. That’s when Iraq turned to the militias for help. All while the Sunni tribes were assembling and signing mutual protection agreements with ISIS to resist the Shia takeover of Iraq.KneelB4Zod! wrote:The Original Mind wrote:We can’t forget that the reason ISIS gained so quickly in Iraq was the dissatisfaction of the Sunni tribes with the Iranian backed dominance of the Shia in government and the military. ISIS gained so quickly because it was allowed to do so. There was like zazillion opportunities to crush them at the very begining. Note one thing: the whole damned coalition "fought" against ISIS for years, dropped tons of explosives, without any result.
But if it comes to targeting people, who actually did real fight against ISIS then they can be very effective in such airstrikes. Strange, isn't it?

Even if this is true, why would the Iraqi PM say this openly?
Is this story true?
to me it looks like the Iraqi's and Iran set up a trap for Trump.
the protests at the embassy ,where Trump allegedy lost his cool and ordered soleimani dead "to stop a war', were controlled.
there have been no revenge attacks to speak of.
Iran/Iraq and Hezbollah are all singing the same tune: US out of west asia and middle east.
so,trump asks Iraqi PM to mediate between him and Iran,to de-escalate tensions.
soleimani flies to bagdad during protests in the embassy ,with letter to Saudi arabia and sits in a car with PMU leadership.
Trump probably asked the Iraqi PM to ask soleimani to fly to bagdad so they could take him out while the Iraqi PM was waiting for him with chai and cookies.
right?
and now pepe escobar says Israel gave the coordinates.
i don't buy it.
I think they royally focked Trump and entourage of freaks ,and that's why everybody else in the west is diving away .
I still say: no war between Iran and US or Israel
the Levant will fall totally to Iran and Russia.
Israel will have to be moved somewhere else, china patagonia or guatemala ,most probably.
just imagine this was a trap or ,worse,a false flag.
if trump really wanted to get out of the middle East, this was the best way ,and the way of least bloodshed.
Everything right now is a lie.
question everything.

"Even if this is true, why would the Iraqi PM say this openly?"
To expose another US regime lie that Soleimani was eliminated as he posed "immediate threat". Moreover this immediate threat bullshit is not constant even within the Trump's government. Trump said it was immediate threat, Pompeo said Trump ordered assassination days before, Baron even hinted at it on Twitter (then he removed the tweet).
I don't think that's some complicated story. Soleimani traveled openly, not only to Iraq but to Syria as well. He came on official state visit and they knew exactly where he was and when. They wanted him dead for years and only Trump is dumb enough to do such thing. End of story.
Trump never wanted out of the Middle East imho. It was just campaign trick how to gain votes from pissed veterans and patriots. Everything after election headed towards escalation. Every single step.

the Levant will fall totally to Iran and Russia.
Israel will have to be moved somewhere else, china patagonia or guatemala ,most probably.
just imagine this was a trap or ,worse,a false flag.
if trump really wanted to get out of the middle East, this was the best way ,and the way of least bloodshed.
Everything right now is a lie.
question everything.
.
Every single step.
.
offcourse you're right ,that's what it looks like and what western logic dictates.
but this west asia and the middle east.
for Trump to get to the level of power he has ,and the amount of support he has in the US means he is not 'dumb'.
so if Trump is 'dumb enough to do such a thing',did he take this decision all alone?
they wanted him dead for years, and now trump was dumb enough to do it?
i don't think it works that way.
it wasn't baron ,but his other son don jr that tweeted and deleted about big whoop ass coming in iran the day before the alleged hit on soleimani.
the chronolgy of the last week ,trumps behaviour in mar el lago and his son's tweets are under intense scrutiny.
the way this 'dumb'decision was made,by whom and when is instrumental.
and how did they get the Iraqi PM to make soleimani to fly to bagdad during the protests around the embassy?
probably also coincidence ,because without that trip the whole plan to kill him right then would fall apart.
I wonder how they would have hit him in Iran or whereever he would have been.
i'm not saying I know ,just keep an open mind.
this story ,like most official versions of events ,stinks.
if this was enacted ,it was a relatively easy job with maximum yield.
if it wasn't planned it would have been brilliant in its design and execution.
just to keep you guys awake ,in case of huge deception.
It's called 'the tenth man'.
