SENIOR IRANIAN GUARDS COMMANDER SAYS IRAN WILL TAKE "HARSHER REVENGE SOON" AFTER MISSILE ATTACKS ON U.S. TARGETS IN IRAQ - TASNIM NEWS AGENCY
Question is is he just beating the chest or is he being serious and to what timeframe
logic tells you: random acts of violence against foreign presence across 'however' long (it takes.)
afaik the red flag is still flying.
My thoughts are more with how far the revenge tree will go, given that to most observers the missile attack was like a free shot anything after this because of Trump effectively backing down from a direct military response would be seen as overstepping the mark Iran really will have to commit itself to war because the US Won't back down from its position is Iran actually prepared to go that far

And the Iranians are like How about some damage
Which damage is worse, the economic from existing and even more U.S. sanctions on Iran or a U.S.base bombardment without meaningful charges?
Anyway, Iranians want US out of the ME, so neither side going to back down.
economic sanctions will always be more damaging but we've seen what the US can do to a country and its economy afterwards when it commits to military action, you're right with the neither side backing down unfortunately its likely to end in a bloody brutal war

I think the time is RIPE for Syria to make a move to secure their Deir Ezzor - Abukamal oil fields. Right now.
Forget al Tanf for the 'moment'.
Make it an open and notorious declaration. Ground troops. Heavy armor. Timetable. A Countdown...
It's time to 'dare' the US to take some kind of kinetic action. Double-dare them.
It would give the IRGC exactly what they want: 'skirmish' confrontation or US retreat.

Better to wait the additional economic sanctions to land... then they can play the world martyrs : "look US want to kill our babies, we can't even buy food and medicine on international markets blablabla. So we must fight against this injustice blablabla".. Then would be perfect moment to do as you said, or launch their missiles to oil fields to create a market crash which will infuriate the US..
Advantage of market crash due to 200 USD / barrel is : tensions would rise so high everywhere, that US won't be able to fight everywhere at the same time...

'timing' is right, US is on their 'back foot' in world 'opinion'/domestic squabbles/congress/election
the US 'presence' is clearly illegal. even to a child.
the deployed troops/equipment is skeletal and WAY 'exposed'/indefensible
It's time to push the bully.

It was Iran, the Syrian Army, Hezbollah and Shi'ite militias who protected and helped the various Christian Greek Orthodox Churches in Syria and Iran while it was Western "Christians" who armed the jihadists who killed them.

He should impose powerful sanctions on the rest of the world and the USA might boil in their own shit.
Sorry for US-friends, but I would say the same for Germany. I hated their behaviour especially against Greece. There are people saying USA should not stop at the Mexican border with the wall but should build it completely around them. Before the world does it.
Tell your friends that most of people don't hate the "Muricans", but are FED UP. People ask: "Can the world afford the USA any longer?"
