I seriously doubt thet removing movies or statues will help to solve racism. It's as stupid as bringing millions of immigrants to Europe under the disguise of humanitarian help amid ongoing military interventions and inhuman sanctions against the countries from which immigrants are fleeing.

This is exactly what I was to write about. Ecucation, not modern day "educayshun" is needed. Truth must be known - as Badger wrote: " He got my grandparents generation through a world war." But his dark side should be know as well. he imprisoned about 1,5 million people in Kenya, sent Black & Tans to Ireland and his policies caused widespread famine in Bangal which killed over 3 million people. Also understanding this means understanding why it is so hard for Russia to remove Stalin's or Lenin's statues. And I think it was very smart from putin to open memorial for victims of stalinist plitical repressions. It puts in contrast goods and bads of the named figure. And it makes public awarenes of this.
Maybe it would be better to rise some memorials to Bangal famine victims or victims of slave trade than remove historical statues in naive hope that it will solve the problem.
