My thought as well. The timing is so too convenient for the globalists. After they were defeated in Syria this puts them back in the game. We already can see them pushing their "regime change" agenda in Lebanon.

BREAKING: Starting today, Twitter is labelling accounts "belonging to state-affiliated media entities, their editors-in-chief, and/or their senior staff".

Just checked the accounts of China's Xinhua and People's Daily, and also Russia's RT and Sputnik; and the labels are there pic.twitter.com/ED51yfvUBr
There are some interesting things. For example US DoD's Twitter account was not labeled as US state account. Also this is important:
This, to me, is the most interesting paragraph in Twitter's announcement. From today, tweets by RT, Sputnik, People's Daily, Xinhua, CGTN, CCTV, and all the other "state-affiliated" accounts will no longer be promoted on home timeline, notifications and search. A huge change pic.twitter.com/semtHM4MQC

As all the western msm are "privately owned", and all of them use same talking points and rhetoric regarding ongoing events, the opposing voices and alternative informations were effectively removed from notifications or timelines...

To be fair, Twitter did label all other US government twitter accounts from what I can see. But yes you're right, not the DoD, which should be.
I see what you're saying that much Western msm has the illusion of private ownership that allows them to circumvent the Twitter labeling, but actually UK's BBC, for example, doesn't even have an illusion of private ownership. BBC has always been 100% state backed media and is directly funded through the UK government and its citizens who have to pay mandatory yearly license fee. So BBC doesn't have the same reason to be able to circumvent the twitter labeling as "privately owned" companies, but yet I looked and it appears twitter has decided to give them special treatment and not label their twitter account at all. Now that is double standards by twitter as clear as day.

France Télévisions company based in France, that too is state funded media but with no labeling. I guess I could go on and on with other European state backed medias that doesn't have the labeling.

.
sounds logical .
but few probems with that.
taking out hezbollah might be the aim ,but this is not the way to do it.
chaos in beirut won't bother hezb too much ,they are positioned in the south.
And if the sunni's and the christians in beirut don't find a solution ,hezbollah will have to help.
in lebanese politics it's a mess, the prime minister has to be sunni and the president has to be cristian.while hezb(mayority) is mainly shia.
harriri trail verdict postponed, and will cause more unrest when it comes.
So politically hezb will only become more important.
all of hezb weaponsystems are dug in underground in the south of lebanon,
nothing changed there, those 150,000 missiles are a problem for ziostan they can only solve with nuclear weapons, and that's not possible ,cause it will make half of ziostan uninhabitable, and will lead to WW.
this might have been an attack by ziostan to try to force trump to step in and help.
but trump immidiately said it was an attack ,no accident.
ziostan, lebanese govt(not hezb) and all western media say it was an accident,so there's a problem there..
trump said today very rich enemies want him dead,so he will be off the tv for a awhile.
could it be that this attack is seriously backfiring on ziostan?
the fact they denied the attack and offered help is a-typical. for example.
twitter in hebrew is on fire about bibi having to step down for the safety of the country ,and new elections.
ministers are fighting and shouting at eachother.threats of new elections opinion polls bad for satanyahu, good for extreme right wing nazi bennett.
the govt is scared of the protests, if some rightwing nazis will kill some leftwing nazi's there will be beginning of civil war.
many things happening especially in hebrew.
hurried sale of leviathan gasfields from nobel energy(rothschild) to chevron(french, macron in lebanon now,to help ziostan ,no usa peeps there to help, just silence).
my take ; the beginning of a rift between ziostan and trump.
ziostan is fucking with trumpo ,and trumpo doesn't like it,he has enough problems as it is(many democrats that are trying to dump trump are jews).
ziostan set up this situation to draw usa in ,and usa reacts fast by saying it was an attack.
who could have done this attack according to the usa?
madagascar?
the attack itself looked messy and this fertilizer story stinks from all sides.
half of beirut is damaged so there's a serious crisis for a while there,
ziostan probably calculated that this attack will at least calm things down on their borders,
but to me it looks like the other side was more or less prepared, and stayed calm as they have lately with attacks in syria and lebanon and might react very differently than ziostan expects.
close eye on rethoric from USA about ziostan, trump is silent and inside israel it's getting messy as well.
Again i predict no war,
again I predict this war will be fought mainly through leaks.
i predict serious unrest in ziostan.and they know that if the situation is ziostan gets bad,the 'enemies'will take advantage.
don't be surprised if some very high zio leaders will drop out or even drop dead.
it looks like ziostans jump from rothschild to trumpo rockefeller is falling flat and ziostan is alone now.
don't be surprised if ziostan gets cancelled ,because the alternative is nuclear war,and nobody wants that, exept maybe ziostan itself.
judging by the internal unrest in ziostan this psyop is failing and ziostan is in panic.

Interestingly British DoD is not labeled as state-affilated account as well.
Czech TV, which is state-affilated as well and is financed similarly as BBC, is not labeled as well:
https://twitter.com/CT24zive?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor
The most important is the part regarding manipulation with timelines or searches as "private" western msm will be promoted and alternative information and points of view from other side will be suppressed.
And, then, we have accounts as NATO...

#BREAKING #Lebanon's president Aoun says blast probe looking at whether cause is negligence, accident - or possible external interference
@ragipsoylu
BREAKING — Lebanese President Aoun says the cause of the Beirut blast is still unknown, mentions the “possibility of external interference via rocket, bomb or other act” per Reuters
https://twitter.com/ragipsoylu/status/1291689355497504770
The fact that he mentions rocket, bomb, etc rather than just saying like "The investigation is still ongoing, I can't comment further", makes me think there is a very good chance it was not an accident.
