https://www.expats.cz/czech-news/article/a-czech-court-has-annulled-the-health-ministry-s-mask-wearing-measures
The petitioner in the case is a person suffering from a long-term respiratory disease, who finds it difficult to wear a respirator, and who also has a high level of antibodies after Covid-19. She says wearing a respirator endangers her health more than not wearing it.
The Czech Supreme Administrative Court (NSS) has canceled the government mandate on wearing respirators in buildings and on public transport, ruling that the Czech Ministry of Health's current measure is not justified. The cancelation of the measure will take effect three days after the judgment becomes final, allowing the ministry time to react and offer its justification.
“In a state governed by the rule of law, it is not possible for the executive branch to disregard the court's clearly stated opinion and obstruct the judiciary and the citizen.
The court only requires the ministry to meet the requirements for justification, which are clearly set out in the pandemic law. Despite this, the Health Ministry has been unable to meet this demand."

In the barren desert 1,200 miles west of Beijing, the Chinese government is digging a new field
of what appears to be 110 silos for launching nuclear missiles.
It is the second such field discovered by analysts studying commercial satellite images in recent weeks.

Kenya deal with UK aims to turn Nairobi into Africa’s financial hub
https://archive.is/efsqY
https://www.ft.com/content/a4ba8d18-4e1f-4260-8ee7-6689a3b1aa1f
►This should enable Nairobi to compete with Dubai, as a conduit for trade in the region.
►includes closer links between the London and Nairobi stock exchanges
►moves to ease incorporation and registration of companies in Kenya
UK foreign secretary Dominic Raab is to welcome Kenyatta to the Mansion House in London on Tuesday to unveil £132m of new British investments in Kenya.
“The point now is to bring more pan-African businesses into Nairobi, [it] could be an international bank from anywhere that wants to put its African headquarters in Nairobi.”
Loose 'Regulations'
World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business ranking puts Kenya behind Mauritius and Rwanda.
Nairobi is also ranked behind Dubai and, in Africa, after Casablanca, Cape Town, Port Louis and Johannesburg in the latest Global Financial Centres Index.

https://www.ibtimes.co.in/nerve-damage-eyes-sign-long-covid-prevalent-among-those-neurological-symptoms-details-839117
long-term symptoms called 'long COVID'
From headaches to brain fog to loss of olfactory senses, the list is long.
Now, scientists suggest that loss of nerve fibres and the rise in the number of key immune cells in the eye
may serve as an indicator of long COVID.
"To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study reporting corneal nerve loss and an increase in [dendritic cell] density in patients who have recovered from COVID-19, especially in subjects with persisting symptoms consistent with long COVID,"
Long COVID—the persistence of symptoms and health problems for four or more weeks after being infected with SARS-CoV-2—has been found to leave survivors battling several other ailments. Some of them include fatigue, headache, changes/loss in smell or taste, difficulty in breathing and shortness of breath, and brain fog (difficulty in concentrating or thinking), among others.
neuropathy, the dysfunction or damage of one or more nerves, may be the underlying cause of long COVID.
Potential for Evaluating 'Long COVID'
Therefore, the responses of the questionnaire suggest that the long COVID symptoms are strongly correlated with corneal nerve fibre loss.
"We show that patients with long COVID have evidence of small nerve fibre damage which relates to the severity of long COVID
and neuropathic as well as musculoskeletal symptoms,"

nice carpet!
US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman (left) and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Tianjin, China, on July 26, 2021
The US and China left open the possibility of a summit between their presidents, despite a contentious day of talks
in which Beijing outlined a series of demands that Americans showed little willingness to meet.
Foreign Minister Wang Yi reiterated requirements from Beijing that
►the US stop criticising China's political system,
►drop all sanctions and tariffs,
►and stay out of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Xinjiang affairs.
Senior Biden administration officials told reporters afterwards that Ms Sherman was focused on setting guardrails on ties, rather than negotiating specific issues.
They described the discussions as forthright and professional, even if they were at times tough.

There's an anti China propaganda article in German, dunno what to think about the "facts" presented there (800.000 cameras in one city etc.). OK, that about the "researcher" Zenz and what he says is BS from the start ...
https://www.heise.de/tp/features/Wir-koennen-dich-sehen-6147775.html?seite=all
1. I don't have a smartphone.
2. Yes, there is an app. This app can locate you. But this is nothing new. New is, when you want to travel, there is a system in place with high risk and low risk regions. So, when you leave the train or plane, you will be checked. They look at your smartphone and can see, whether you were in a high risk area within the last 14 days. If this is the case, they send you back or home for self-quarantine. Quarantine is 14 days.
In reality, this only happened to one of my students. You know in advance, what area is high risk.
I am travelling without a smartphone and without this app. I can cross the checkpoints without problems. I show my tickets and my residence permit and everything is ok.
Officially you need to wear a mask in public transport. But people more and more just ignore it.
Last month I travelled to Beijing and back again. No problem with masks or with this app.
In Beijing all Chinese are having this mask around their chin. When they enter a restaurant, they shift it before their mouth and nose, just to put it away, when they sit on the table.
When you enter a supermarket, officially they have to see your ID, the app and take the temperature. But no-one is doing this anymore. No-one is wearing a mask inside a supermarket.
You can quarantine a Chinese easily, they don't care, because they are doing everything online. They order cloths, food..... everything online.
In the streets you can see the drivers of the delivery on their motorbikes and boxes. They drive like crazy, because they have to be on time. I have seen horrible accidents with them. Many of our students do not eat in the dining hall, they stand on the fence and get their ordered food from these drivers.
Life is back to normal and it is booming!
3. Yes, there are cameras in every town. But there is a reason. If you tell a Chinese, that he has to stop his car, when a pedestrian is crossing the street or, when the traffic lights are red, they don't care. Put a policeman there, they don't care and ask: What's the fine? Police is not armed. Raising the fine will not help, the rich don't care and the poor cannot pay. So the government did it the Chinese way. The Chinese are horribly afraid of being exposed. So they record everything, that is happening and if someone is caught violating a rule, the video is out in the open for everyone to see. That's the only way to force Chinese people to obey. Without brute force, Chinese people would not work or do anything.
Yes, they have now installed a face recognition machine at the gate of my university. I pass the guard normally and greet and the machine is working.
4. Alipay is filthy rich. All Chinese order everything online. Everything purchased and paid via Alipay. Of course last year, when all of China was in lockdown the profit of Alipay must have skyrocket. But what happened? Jack Ma, this filthy rich billionaire disappeared. He is still alive, but he had a talk with the party leaders. lol.
So the author of this article has heard something, but has no idea about Chinese reality.

South China Sea Update: Beijing Holds Naval Drill To Greet Britain's 'Worthless' Carrier Strike Group https://t.co/kn1lhh7HSo
— Paul Jensen Esquire (@beadoz) July 27, 2021
China has not forgotten 1841.
He is considered a national hero:
Lin Zexu
The bloody British have completely forgotten, that they challenged the book of the Dutch Grotius:
in 1635 with "Mare clausum" by John Seldon. It was not before 1702 with "De dominio maris" by Bynkershoek, that all Western nations agreed on a formula about national and international seas.
China has nothing to do with this Western discussion and has declared the South China Sea a "Mare clausum".
