EU have already started seizing assets of wealthy Russians, USA has announced they intend to start seizing assets soon. UK is the exception as they say they can't find a legal reason to do so - not even freeze assets let alone seize them. So the UK government suddenly cares about rule of law? Of course not; those in charge of at the current government are just as sleazy as previous ones going back decades to Tony Blair etc. The issue for this government is their source of party donor funds and lobbying is more heavily weighted from wealthy Russians donors than of that compared to politicians in USA/EU, and they don't want to lose that gravy train. It's no secret that the UK Conservative party made a major effort to court wealthy Russian money going back since 2010.
