Dmitry Medvedev previously served as Russia’s president from 2008 to 2012
and is now deputy secretary of the country’s security council.
Medvedev said that many counties depend on supplies of food from Russia, a major global wheat exporter.
on April 1 he warned of the potential move:
“It turns out that our food is our quiet weapon. Quiet but ominous,”
“The priority in food supplies is our domestic market. And price control,”“We will supply food and crops only to our friends..
