On July 28, 1915, the U.S. invaded Haiti and occupied the country for the next 19 years. At least 15,000 were killed and resistance ruthlessly crushed. Thousands of Haitians were seized for forced labor.

Pressure for a military intervention had been building for years. In 1914 U.S. marines robbed Haiti’s national bank of gold worth $500,000 on behalf of Wall Street.

Under U.S. occupation Haiti's press was censored, the constitution rewritten (allowing foreigners to own land for the first time) and a puppet government installed.

Haitian uprisings against the occupation culminated in a national strike in October 1929 which continued into December when the US navy perpetrated the Cayes Massacre against protesters, killing 12.

The massacre failed to end resistance to the occupation and finally forced a U.S. withdrawal in 1934. But aggressive U.S. interference in the country continued with Washington backing successive dictatorships and two coups against the popular leader Jean-Bertrand Aristide.

Personally I didn't see it but there's a much chatter about it. Kiev allegedly indentified the perpetrator as some military personf from far east border region, allegedly Buryat. Although some pointed out that he is dressed in Ukrainian camo. Similar videos were circulating from Kive side, too.
