i get that wrong. it is not possible that germans "did not want to belive". it is that germans just did not care. industrialists had hue profits and the rest of the population had good paying jobs (after a long time). germans just did not care. it was not their problem.

just like (most) whole world do not care about palestinians in concentration camp in gaza.

it is wrong to think they (germans or jews in israel) do not know...they know. but they do not care until it makes problem for them personally.

They even do not want to believe that many of them will soon freeze and starve, some may even die. To dismiss this with egoism is probably a bit off. No, hardly anyone is aware that their prosperity is based on the life, work and blood of hundreds of millions of people.
