There's large confusion over recent situation in Kharkov and Kherson. Western media narrative is, of course, heroic Kiev forces advance faster then expected. This rhetoric is supported by numerous experts and OSINT analysts. They mostly see current events as sign of Kiev's victory and death of Russia (yes, that's what I've read in our msm). Then there are others, who blame Russian military for yet another underestimation of opp force resulting in some deep incursion into Ru controled teritorries. With Ru attempts to rushly reinforce defense lines. This is supported by Girkin's/Strelkov's doomish visions and predictions. Then there is yet another group that claims all of current events are deliberate and pre-planned and Kiev forces just fall to numerous cauldrons which will be formed soon.

From my pov situation is very fluid but I think it would be very naive to think Ru army didn't see amassing Kiev forces. So it's unlikely that Ru side was caught unprepared (ohterwise it would be unprecedent incompetence). I noted that the most of Kiev videos of captured areas display not very damaged infrastructure, so it hints that there wasn't heavy fighting. So everyone can conclude what that means, I guess.

We will see soon who's correct and who's not. And how decisive are current battles. But if the last option will be correct then it gonna be textbook example of Sun Tzu's "Appear weak when you are strong" played on NATO for almost 6 months...
