I don't consider any of the gulf states like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain or Qatar to be legit states they were all created over the last 70, 60 or 50 years to control the oil and gas in region on behalf of the west. Iran does not claim Bahrain belongs to it but the 70% of people in Bahrain who are Shia consider themselves safavids and therefore loyal to Iran and before Islam Bahrain was a province of both the Achaemenids and Parthian Persians. The Shah giving away Bahrain in 1971 and allowing a Sunni minority to rule over the Shia has been a disaster for Iran as they host the US fleet to threaten Iran and now invite Zionists to region.

Analysts had called the levy justified, as an insolvency could trigger a domino effect
that would shake up the country’s entire gas industry.
The levy of 2.4 cents per kilowatt hour would be introduced on 1 October.
