The public should not be alarmed by this and there is no risk to any visitors to the site. Those involved in the removal of the vehicle have the necessary training and expertise to carry out a variety of tasks, which includes the safe removal of vehicles. We want to make it clear that there is no cordon in place and once the vehicle has been removed, police will leave the scene and it will be open to the public as normal.

Sky tv; found on Wednesday, took 2 days for Porton Down to confirm the contents of a bottle is Novichok. Yet all those people presenting to hospitals are "tested and cleared" within minutes.

Novichok: Victim found poison bottle in branded box
The man who found the bottle of the nerve agent Novichok which killed his partner said it was in a glass bottle within an "expensive-looking" box.
Charlie Rowley said: "It had an oily substance and I smelled it and it didn't smell of perfume. It felt oily. I washed it off and I didn't think anything of it. It all happened so quick."

So not only he scavenged around area for this item in the first place, but when he tried it it didn't even smell or feel like a perfume spray, so naturally he went ahead and gave his g/f the perfume anyway.
