There have been rumors about Ukraine planning to attack Transnistria (possibly together with Moldova/Romania) for basically as long as the war has been going on, but this time there seems to be a little more substance to the rumors.

FWIW I still believe it's unlikely. Would be a huge escalation with unpredictable consequences, depending on who's involved and how. Pretty much impossible to reinforce Transnistria.

The Operational Group of Russian Forces in Transnistria is small, about 1,500 soldiers. The Armed Forces of Transnistria number around 5,000. No presence of significant air defence assets or heavy weapons in sufficient numbers to repel a serious assault.

ukraine needs that ammunition because they are running short on everything. and russians are advancing on the whole front. either russians can defend it with help from air force and cruise missiles from russia or they have to blow it. Maybe even send VDV to do parachute jumps ?  It is a huge warehouse with ammunition.

but if ukraine goes for it..it is gloves off. Then we are all in a big bloody war very soon.

I don't understand the problem, let them settle it the same way as in Germany. The public prosecutor's office is "bound by instructions". If the Ministry of the Interior thinks that a case could reveal too much shady dealings of the politicians, then it is not allowed to investigate further. Has been regulated like this for decades, no one is upset (hardly anyone understands this scandal), but foreign countries have reacted, the German prosecutor's office is no longer allowed to issue international arrest warrants.
