Vladimir Putin, 2nd Mayor of St. Petersburg and chairman of the Committee for Foreign Relations of the City of Six Million, made it clear to German business representatives that a military dictatorship on the Chilean model would be the desirable solution for Russia to the current political problems. This is reported by WDR in the TV feature "Aufbruch nach Osten" (Monday, January 3, 1994, WEST 3 from 21.15 to 21.45). Putin answered questions from representatives of BASF, Dresdner Bank, Alcatel U. a., who met at the former GDR Consulate General in St. Petersburg.

Putin distinguished between "necessary" and "criminal" violence. Political violence is "necessary" criminally if it is aimed at the elimination of market economic conditions, if it promotes or protects private capital investments. He, Putin, in view of the difficult private economic path, expressly approves possible preparations by Yeltsin and the military to bring about a dictatorship on the Pinochet model. Putin's remarks were received with friendly applause by both the German company representatives and the Deputy German Consul General present.

Can this (from 1993) be confirmed or refuted? Currently, there is an attempt in certain circles to defame everything related to Russia, China and the ideas of multipolarity. flew to Kazakhstan and threatened the republic with sanctions for helping Russia.


The US may impose sanctions on Kazakh banks and companies for helping Russia evade Western restrictive measures.
This was stated by an American official who arrived in Astana for negotiations.
At the end of 2022, Kazakhstan increased the supply of goods to Russia by 25%
and became one of the major "hubs" for parallel imports, the volume of which
was estimated by the Russian government at tens of billions of dollars.
Such trading carries risks, Rosenberg said, and the US intends to give Kazakhstani officials a clear warning.
