What happened on October 7:
Statements of Israeli pilots emerged: Around 7.30, Israeli Apache helicopters began to intervene. The pilots were confused. They couldn't make sense of what was happening and couldn't distinguish between civilians or Hamas. They opened fire on anything that moved Hundreds of Israeli civilians were killed.
The army was on holiday due to Simchat Torah (Torah Festival). Of Israel's 2 Apache squadrons, the 190th Squadron was off. There were two teams in the 113th Fleet on duty. They acted in shock and intervened unconsciously. Everything that moved became a target.

New Argentinian president Milei claims to be a "libertarian" and a "freedom lover" but the truth is that his extreme neo liberal policies are not new to Latin America. The dismantling of the "welfare state" by dictatorial regimes was a constant in the late 20th century in the continent:

Milei, a self-described 'anarcho-capitalist,' plans to get rid of the central bank and the national currency in favor of the U.S. dollar and eliminate some of the ministries. He also plans to cut government spending.

Milei opposes cooperation with China, Brazil and Russia, favoring the United States. And his future office has already spoken out against Argentina joining BRICS in 2024. That said, it is unclear how Milei plans to deal with IMF debts without China's help: in recent months, Economy Minister (and Milei's rival) Sergio Massa has been heavily relying on the yuan (https://t.me/meriblood/2050) to pay off IMF debts.

However, if he is reckless in his actions, he risks plunging the country into an even bigger crisis. This in turn will cause the IMF to increase the country's debt load, as it happened under Macri.

When companies go bankrupt, American and European financial corporations will gladly buy their assets at a cheap price. We have already seen this scenario unfold in countries engulfed in military conflicts (Ukraine) or an economic crisis (Turkey).

That said, Milei's bloc does not have a majority in Congress, so his office will have to work on forming alliances to push through legislation.

Polish hauliers protesting at the border with Ukraine are blocking humanitarian aid and fuel tankers, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Sergey Derkach has said.

He noted that Polish hauliers were violating agreements with their Ukrainian counterparts on the unhindered transit of humanitarian aid and dangerous goods.

"We have recorded many cases of tankers with fuel and humanitarian aid queuing up," Derkach said. Ukraine has sent information about these cases to the Polish side and is waiting for a response.
