In a press release, Kim Yo Jong, the vice department director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of #Korea, warned South Korean authorities against committing "even a slight provocation" toward the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The release, titled "Misjudgement, conjecture, obstinancy, and arrogance will invite irretrievable misfortune," saw the top #DPRK official disclose details of a military maneuver conducted by the DPRK's military, the Korean People's Army (KPA), earlier on Saturday.

In her address, Kim revealed that a supposed launch of 60 artillery rounds toward the maritime buffer zone splitting the two Koreas was, in fact, part of a maneuver conducted by the KPA. Kim said the exercise showed a vivid scene made by "the military gangsters" of #SouthKorea.

Kim said the DPRK fired no shells on Saturday but instead set off 60 explosions made from blasting powder to simulate the sound made by firing 130 mm coastal artillery shells.

Further commenting on the events that unfolded following the maneuver, specifically the ROK's reaction to the event, Kim advised South Koreans against entrusting "puppets in military uniform" with their security. She went on to recount several incidents in which South Korea claimed that the DPRK committed provocations.

VW Claims Solid State Battery Made By QuantumScape Only Lost 5% Capacity After 1000 Charge Cycles

Volkswagen did not create the new battery; it was developed by QuantumScape, a California-based battery technology company. QuantumScape provided a prototype to Volkswagen Group-owned PowerCo, which then tested its performance over several months.

The results far exceeded expectations. PowerCo says the cell retained 95% of its range capacity after 1,000 charging cycles, or the equivalent of roughly 300,000 miles. The current industry standard for EVs targets 20% capacity loss over 700 charging cycles, which means an EV that starts out with a 250-mile range could end its life with a 200-mile range. But with the QuantumScape solid-state battery, it would theoretically only go down to approximately 240 miles of range after much more driving.

Keep in mind, this battery isn’t likely to show up in EVs in the next few years. Singh says the company still has “more work to do” to bring it to market. The next step is finalizing the mass production process.

The enemy lost up to 130 servicemen, a tank, two armored combat vehicles and two cars.
In the course of counter-battery fighting, three Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery mounts, two British-made FH-70 howitzers, two D-30 guns, two Rapira anti-tank guns, as well as an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the Russian group of troops, supported by strikes by operational-tactical aviation and artillery fire, defeated concentrations of manpower of the 3rd, 14th operational brigades of the National Guard of Ukraine, the 68th Jäger, 65th, 118th mechanized and 128th mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the areas of the settlements of Pyatikhatky, Verbove, Rabotyne, Novoprokopivka and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to 40 servicemen, a tank, two armored combat vehicles and four vehicles.

During the day, air defense systems shot down two aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force: Su-25 near the city of Dnipropetrovsk and Su-27 near the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region.

France's bankruptcies hit a six-year record
More than 55,000 companies closed in France in 2023, the highest number since 2017, according to the Bank of France's report.
The primary reasons for this were substantial price hikes, particularly for energy, and the upward trend in interest rates, resulting in increased expenses for businesses.
Trade and construction companies, predominantly small businesses, accounted for 43% of all bankruptcies.
However, many major companies also closed last year - 72% more than in the previous decade, the Bank of France noted.
