Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
In fact, this is the main demand of Azerbaijan, which recently held early presidential elections with the aim of expanding their territory at the expense of Armenian lands.
If Armenia voluntarily renounces Artsakh under the influence of the United States, it will not lead to peace. Azerbaijan will inevitably proceed to seize other Armenian territories, starting with the Syunik region at the very least.
Meanwhile, an interesting internal political struggle appears to be unfolding in Armenia regarding the intentions of the Pashinyan administration to hold a referendum and amend the country's constitution.
The coordinator of the Ayakve initiative, which advocates for criminalizing the recognition of Artsakh as Azerbaijani territory, Avetik Chalabyan, has referred to the planned reforms in Armenia as a constitutional coup. He has announced the formation of a movement against these reforms. You can read more about it here.
Undoubtedly, his words reflect the concerns of all Armenians. The ultimate outcome of amending the constitution will result in the destruction of Armenia and its people as they currently exist. This will make them entirely dependent on the Turkish tandem.
Does this movement have any prospects? To answer this question, we can look back at past public initiatives in Armenia, such as when Artsakh was surrendered. Unfortunately, it seems that they were futile.
People protested, went on strike for several days, and then returned home. The opposition, which should have taken action, spent the whole year engaged in parliamentary squabbles. This is also not a coincidence, as you can read here (https://t.me/rybar/49028).
Sure, people will come out again and shout at Pashinyan, but the outcome in this scenario will be the same. Unfortunately, there are no real prospects here, even if we look through a telescope. Unless they prove otherwise.

Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
Protests have once again erupted in the Caribbean state, continuing for the third day.
According to the official version, citizens are protesting and demanding the resignation of Prime Minister Ariel Henry. His term of office expired on February 7, 2024, but he has no intention of stepping down yet. Given that Henri's team came to power after the assassination of the previous President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse, in 2021 and is now refusing to leave, slogans calling for the removal of the usurper and American protege resonate with the crowd.
Ariel Henry's political opponents are also taking advantage of the situation. Among the protesters in the capital, former senator and rebel Guy Philippe, who was involved in the overthrow of another Haitian president, Jean-Bertrand Aristide, in 2004, has been noticed. According to some sources, Philippe is calling for revolution and the removal of Henri, gathering his former colleagues for protests.
Back in October 2023, at the request of Ariel Henry, the UN Security Council approved the deployment of a multinational security mission led by Kenya. An international contingent of 2,500 police officers is expected to be deployed in the first quarter of 2024, although the process is constantly being delayed in Kenya.

Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
7 Hour Interview
TUCKER TO RELEASE PUTIN INTERVIEW (https://t.me/theorientalview/4696) IN INSTALLMENTS OVER ONE WEEK'S TIME.
===========
Tucker - Putin pt.1
TUCKER: Thank you for sitting down with us for what I hope will be an interesting talk which can open up closed doors and closed minds and hopefully start a dialogue which can bring the world back from the brink of war. I'd like to touch on a variety of topics and issues with you.
TUCKER: First of all there have been many reports in the west that your health is failing. How is your health?
PUTIN: Let me welcome you to Moscow (long pause). As you can see I'm fine. I'm as healthy as can be for a man of my age. I have nothing to complain about.
TUCKER: But there have been persistent reports you were battling cancer?
PUTIN: If that were true could I be sitting here with you (laughs). I assure you I'm healthy. If I had cancer and was cured I would have congratulated my doctors publicly and shared the cure with the world.
TUCKER: Let's turn to the topic on everyone's mind - Ukraine. Why did you invade?
PUTIN: Did we invade or were we invaded? Look at history. When NATO promised not to expand one inch eastward and now they are on our borders, is that not an invasion? When the CIA engineers a coup in Kiev and overthrows a democratically elected government isn't that a type of invasion? When they militarily attack the Russian minority and seize their land is that not a type of invasion? We are simply fighting for security. Russia only wants what has always been Russian.
https://t.me/theorientalview/4746
=========
Tucker - Putin (not all) pt.2
[...]
TUCKER: Again, how would that benefit us; by that I mean Americans?
PUTIN: Think of it. Russia may be a much smaller economy than the US but we're by far the wealthiest when you look at resources. We have $80 trillion in the ground. Western nations are now debtors who want that
TUCKER: There are many other dynamics at work. Can you get go into some of that?
PUTIN: Yes. There are other factors. Russia has been attacked because we have made the BRICS into an economic power. Whenever dollar supremacy is challenged the US goes to war as is the case now -
[...]
TUCKER: What do you mean by that?
PUTIN: For example, in the US the real power center is not Washington but Martha's Vineyard-
TUCKER: Are you alluding to former President Obama?
PUTIN: Yes. We believe he's still ruling from afar.
TUCKER: Not many Americans know that -
TUCKER: That was something we noticed too. Can you elaborate?
PUTIN: Yes. Suddenly the anti-Russian rhetoric escalated to Cold War levels and beyond. That briefly abated during Trump but quickly escalated under Biden. The anti-Russian people returned.
TUCKER: Do you mean like Victoria Nuland and Antony Blinken?
PUTIN: I don't need to name the names but essentially yes - those are the people at the heart of your current foreign policymaking apparatus. They are controlling the narrative.
TUCKER: Your last meeting with Obama was frosty. Can you explain what happened?
PUTIN: We discovered he had a Jekyll and Hyde type personality. He could be very cold and remote. He turned on us after Syria. Everything changed.

US Senate on Tuesday confirmed Kurt Campbell as Deputy Secretary of State

Victoria Nuland was dissatisfied with Zelensky’s plans to dismiss the commander-in-chief Zaluzhny, The Times writes
According to its sources, the US (now former (https://t.me/theorientalview/4694)) Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs at a meeting in Kyiv on January 31 suggested that the Ukrainian president and the commander-in-chief smooth out differences. The Times emphasizes, that this contradicts the official position of the White House on non-interference (https://t.me/theorientalview/4755) in a decision, which is the sovereign right of the President of Ukraine.

🟩 "Strength is not in oil, nor in seeking foreign protection, nor in American bases, nor in submission to foreigners and belonging to zones of influence. Strength lies in willpower! The people has been poor, yet it has been rich in its principles, in its will, and in its strength. The Yemeni people should be proud and lift their heads high. They are the richest people in willpower. They are the strongest people in willpower. They are the great Arab people. We must harness these potentials to achieve Arab unity. Forward!
