I have made some reflections on the "economic weakness" of Russia. If you look at the investments in infrastructure, I think that this also has an impact on economic strength, but to my knowledge this is not included in GDP.

In contrast to the constant construction of the infrastructure - probably also in China and North Korea, I have not yet informed myself about other countries - the West has been living more and more on the substance for decades, in the middle maintenance work is only carried out "shortly before the collapse" or no longer at all. 

I also made a comparison when two people have the same salary, one lives in his own stably built apartment where everything works perfectly. The other lives in a well-read car in which almost nothing works anymore and which falls apart at any moment. Unfortunately, the "monetary value" of the investments in the infrastructure can hardly be estimated. If these amounts could be credited, then the claims about the "weakness" of these countries would vanish into thin air.
