USA will launch two Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles

The goal of the program is to demonstrate the readiness of American nuclear forces and nuclear deterrents.Russia has been warned about the launches, which will take place on June 4 and 6, the US Air Force command said in a statement.

The Minuteman III is a solid-fuel intercontinental strategic missile that entered US service in 1970. Its previous tests failed: due to the discovery of an “anomaly” after launch, the rocket exploded in the air, Reuters reported.

This missile is the only silo-based ICBM in US service. Upgraded versions are regularly tested. Washington has 400 of these missiles. Each of them is capable of carrying up to three nuclear warheads.

They don't show us the footage and they always show us fake numbers. The journal "Der Spiegel" had conducted (or fantasized) a survey that allegedly >80% of Germans were in favor of more arms deliveries to Ukraine. There are surveys all the time that it is at most 50% or much less.

Europe at war with Russia: Macron official announcement on June 6

June 6 will be a landmark day for the whole of Europe. France will officially announce the first announcement of sending military personnel from a European/NATO state to Ukrainian territory.

The Ukrainian president, whose legal term has expired since May 21, is to attend commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the Allied landings in Normandy on June 6, French President Emmanuel Macron said.

Macron confirmed Zelensky's visit to France next week while speaking to reporters.

"I will have the opportunity, when President Zelensky goes to France next week for Normandy Landing Day ceremonies, to welcome him and then discuss very clearly what we are going to do to support Ukraine."

According to international media, Macron will choose - not by chance - June 6 in order to announce in front of other Western leaders the mission of French soldiers to Ukraine who will shoulder the responsibility of training the E.D. of Kiev!

This is the first such announcement by a leader of a Western country, in another sign of escalation in Ukraine and the Russia-NATO war.

Will it be trainers only? Of course not. It is only the first step on the road to open Europe-Russia war. The French Brigade in Odessa will follow, the NATO forces in western Ukraine, etc.

South Africa's Ramaphosa signs a law on changes to retirement system with funds' early withdrawal

The Revenue Laws Amendment Bill of 2023 implements a "two-pot" retirement system that permits employees in both the private and public sectors to withdraw restricted amounts of their pensions without the need to quit their jobs.

"The primary objective of the two-pot retirement system is to provide flexibility for fund members to access their retirement savings during emergencies, without necessitating resignation. The reform introduced by the legislation strives to strike a balance between long-term security and immediate needs, recognizing life's unpredictability," said the presidency.

The system has this nickname because it includes a savings and retirement component. Individuals will be able to withdraw funds from the savings component before the retirement in the event of financial hardships or emergencies, but the funds in the retirement component will remain untouched until retirement.

Thus, the new South African pension system will be more flexible in contrast to traditional pension systems, which are primarily focused on long-term savings.

‍ Nigerian workers' “indefinite” strike to raise minimum wage begins on Sunday

This happens after labor unions failed to agree on a new minimum wage with the government.

"Government [...] refused to do [...] more, not even a kobo was added to the 60,000 naira [about $45] that they proposed on Tuesday, and we rightly rejected," the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC) and Trades Union Congress (TUC) said in a statement.

The country's two largest unions said on May 1 that they would stop working if a new minimum wage was not agreed upon by the end of May.

In Friday's statement, the unions also said that the government officials failed to attend a meeting on Friday to address the matter, after the unions' rejection of a previous plan.

The NLC and TUC have declared that the strike would continue until the implementation of a new minimum wage. In addition, they requested the reversal of a recent increase in power tariffs.
