A world first: Finland starts bird flu vaccinations for humans — Reuters

Finland plans to offer preemptive bird flu vaccination as soon as next week to some workers with exposure to animals, making it the first country. Vaccines for 10,000 people, each consisting of two injections, as part of a joint EU procurement of up to 40 million doses for 15 nations from manufacturer CSL Seqirus an Australian company.
 
Finland said it procured vaccines for people it deems to be at risk, such as workers at fur and poultry farms, lab technicians who handle bird flu samples and veterinarians who work as animal control officers in regions where fur farms are located.

India's Steel Ministry is looking to diversify its sourcing of coking coal, with Russia and Mongolia identified as key new markets. Coking coal is a key feedstock material and accounts for 35-40% of the steel-making costs.

After discussions with industry leaders, it has been decided that trial runs for two shipments of coking coal from Mongolia, which is a land-locked nation and shares borders with China and Russia. And India will be seeking alternative routes to China. India, the world's second-largest steelmaker, is the largest importer of coking coal. Australia accounts for 70 per cent of supplies.

NASA warns that a tower-sized 370-ft asteroid headed for Earth

The 370 foot asteroid is the size of building is aptly named 2024 JJ25 and is fast approaching earth at lightning speed. The JJ25 belongs to a group of asteroids known as the Apollo group characterized by their Earth-crossing orbits.

The vast majority of near-Earth objects have orbits that don't bring them close to Earth, not posing any danger. This asteroid cluster is not the same and requires more attention. They're called potentially hazardous asteroids usually 460 feet tall, but still something astronomers see as a real danger.

Russia used Kaliningrad to disrupt EU satellites - Bloomberg

Russia must "immediately cease any deliberate actions aimed at causing harmful interference to frequency assignments of other administrations," the International Telecommunication Union's Radio Regulations Council said Monday.

The findings were based on the geolocation of disruption signals, which the commission called “extremely alarming and unacceptable,” the material said.

The regulatory commission said the latest disruptions occurred in Russian regions including Kaliningrad and Moscow. According to the report, the interference primarily affected television and radio channels with Ukrainian content.

In response to France's complaint, Moscow said it had tried to identify sources of interference "but did not detect any radiation that could cause harmful interference."
