I usually drink coffee at the morning only. In other parts of day it makes me sleepy rather then boost me up. Didn't try to brew it at the middle of night tho'...

Sleep is such a waste of perfectly good time. If not for work, I'd never sleep until my body demanded a rest. heh When it comes time to retire I hope to be healthy enough to paint landscapes or something at 3 am...

So last night after dinner I was talking to my parents when we simultaneously hear a loud boom and feel the house shake like crazy. Then I heard some subsequent popping. I ran out of the house because I wasn't sure if someone had hit my garage, or if something happened at the people behind me (they're friends of mine).
It turns out that the people on the block behind me and diagonal had a fire in their truck, which blew up. But to make it worse, the truck was full of ammo. Two houses got evacuated and they wouldn't let me get any closer than this pic I snapped from my neighbor's yard. It used to be a nice truck, as you can see by the remaining paint. hahaha
Honestly, it made me think about how sheltered we are in the US and the poor Syrians who have had to bear this kind of explosion (and worse) daily for all of these years.

Back from funeral and we have decided to get the pup today. One life left our family and one life begins with us today. I'll post some pics when he comes.

Just managed to get some pics and short video. Sorry about quality, it has been difficult. Spent hours getting a mov. to wmv video converter. This dog shows no fear, should have called him Evil Knievel or Angel Knievel.
