If Turks have undeniable evidence regarding Khashoggi's murder then they may use it as leverage on the US and force Americans to leave their Kurdish proxies. US regime is deeply invested in Saudi dictatorship. There are some claims that UK (and so US very likely too) hed informations about planned murder but did nothing. If Khashoggi had really evidence about Saudi use of CW in Yemen then it would be very damaging for the Trump's regime as well. US heavy support for the Saudi atrocity in Yemen means that they know about such use of CW in Yemen. This may force US occupants from Syria, Washington doesn't want to be dragged through the dirt as "freedom and humanity" is the lynchpin of its false rhetoric and disastrous foreign policy.
