Venezuelan soldiers “will have an important decision to make,” Guaidó said Thursday in a video message that cuts to images of overturned containers being used by the government to block the aid convoys. “To stand by someone who is isolated and protects no one, or on the side not only of the constitution but of humanity.”
“Between 250,000 to 300,000 Venezuelans are now at risk of dying if the aid doesn’t come in urgently,” Guaidó said in a brief interview Thursday with The Washington Post. He insisted that “some aid would get in very soon” from staging areas in Colombia, Brazil and the Caribbean, but he would not elaborate how.

A Senate resolution to back Venezuelan opposition leader Juan Guaido, once expected to get unanimous support, has been torpedoed by a disagreement over the use of military force, according to aides and senators working on the issue.
Despite widespread support in the Senate for the Trump administration’s decision to denounce Nicolas Maduro and support Guaido, the sense-of-the-Senate resolution is unlikely to ever be introduced because Sens. Marco Rubio, R-Florida, and Bob Menendez, D-N.J., are in a stand-off over whether it should explicitly disapprove of any potential use of the U.S. military in the struggling country.
Menendez, the top Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, has applauded Rubio’s ability to influence the administration to take a strong position on Venezuela, but the two are in deep disagreement on how involved the United States should be.
“I think it’s important for the Senate to express itself on democracy in Venezuela, supporting interim President Guaido and supporting humanitarian assistance. But I also think it should be very clear in fact that support stops short of any type of military intervention,” Menendez told NBC News.

"Here is not Hezbollah, here are Venezuelans and Venezuelans ready to defend this country whatever happens, they do not care what you say, we do not need strength from anywhere, we have the courage of history," Cabello stressed during a massive concentration in support of President Nicolás Maduro in the Guárico state.
In the broadcast of Venezolana de Televisión, the vice president of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) alluded to the consequences of this false accusation that can be derived.
"This is very delicate.
