Indeed, they are hidden. Not by him but by twitter, because his account is still set on public and not private.
Example of a tweet still there --> https://twitter.com/brasco_aad/status/871006816938987520
but if you look for his tweets on his profile page or type his username into the search function it will come back with nothing. Twitter have put his account on this hidden status. Hence shadowban. Whether it's temporarily or permanently, who knows...
