Norway has found a radiation level 800,000 times higher than normal at the wreck of a Russian navy submarine.
The Komsomolets sank in the Norwegian Sea in 1989 after a fire on board killed 42 sailors.
A sample showed radioactive caesium leaking from a ventilation pipe, but researchers said it was "not alarming", as the Arctic water quickly diluted it.
The Soviet-era sub is also deep down, at 1,680m (5,512ft), and there are few fish in the area, they added.
For the first time a Norwegian remotely-operated vehicle (ROV) examined and filmed the Komsomolets on 7 July, revealing severe damage.
The submarine is also known as K-278 in Russia, and it sank carrying two nuclear torpedoes with plutonium warheads.
Its front section has six torpedo tubes, and the sub could also launch Granit cruise missiles.
The news comes just over a week after fire swept through a Russian nuclear-powered submersible in the Barents Sea, killing 14 naval officers.
The survivors managed to get the mini-sub back to its Arctic base.

Jeremy Hunt has said the Royal Navy has been “run down too much” as he cited a skirmish between Britain and Iran in the Persian Gulf as proof that more warships are needed.
The Foreign Secretary said the “deeply troubling” events in the Middle East showed that the Navy must be “expanded to meet the threats we face”.
Writing in The Telegraph, the Tory leadership candidate said he would add more warships and carrier-based jets to the fleet if he becomes prime minister because “boosting our hard power is the surest way to keep Britain respected overseas”.

The main reason for my wish to change this society is that so many human skills have no chance to come to fruition. No need for a "big event" but development. One of my ideas to reach it: Don't play "their" games - don't use "their" rules - don't think in the box of "their" paradigms.
It's more "refuse" than "resist" - without too much ideology. You don't need to know much about "what's going on behind the curtains", it's mainly to create your own rules together with like-minded people.
That is what I mean with "I'm on the side of the people".
