WTF is going on that's the 3rd US MQ9 drone shot down this month by the Houthis I wonder if Iran somehow smuggled it's anti aircraft defense system into Yemen.

Can't tell if he's joking or what these days. If he's serious then it's an official state visit to Denmark he's just cancelled, so that's a visit and banquet with the Denmark Royal family that was graciously offered to Trump and co. planned weeks/months in advance that he's just pushed back in their faces.

Rivals line up in battle for Greenland
Donald Trump’s recent pitch to buy the territory astonished Greenland and Denmark, which owns it, but as melting ice opens up new shipping routes and mining opportunities, China is also increasingly eyeing up its possibilities
China has already signed up with Russia to develop its Arctic gasfields as melting ice opens up the northern sea route along the Arctic coast. China aims to incorporate this “Polar Silk Road” into its ambitious Belt and Road infrastructure strategy. Its commercial interests have been accompanied by increasing military and diplomatic presence in the Arctic region.
At the western end of the road is Greenland, which has large deposits of rare earth elements used in technology including for the military, electric cars and wind turbines. They include terbium, dysprosium, neodymium and praseodymium, zinc by-products and natural uranium.
Until recently, the minerals were inaccessible, blanketed by an ice sheet nearly two miles thick that still covers 80 per cent of Greenland. Greenland has lost 280 billions tonnes of ice a year since 2002 to global warming, opening up its coastal areas to extraction.
While it is nearly impossible to put a price on the territory today, estimates have ranged from $1.1 to $1.7 trillion, depending on its mining potential.
China had already secured a near monopoly over the global rare earth market when it arrived in Greenland in partnership with an Australian firm on the Kvanefjeld mine project on the southwest peninsula. Under their proposed plan, the rare earth elements mined in Greenland, where all land is publicly owned, would be transferred to China for processing.
As Mr Trump’s trade war with China heated up this year, Beijing lobbed back a potent threat: if the US did not back down on tariffs, China, could put an embargo on the sale of rare earth elements to American companies, presenting not only an economic but a national security threat.
Greenland’s attempts to do business with China have run into trouble with Denmark, which retains control of its defence and foreign policy and is nervous of upsetting the US, its Nato ally. Copenhagen intervened last year to prevent China from winning the contract to build Greenland’s three new international airports, claiming national security concerns. They are planned for Nuuk, the capital, Ilulissat on the west coast and Qaqortoq in the south.
Far from rewarding Denmark, Mr Trump is leaning on it. “We protect Denmark like we do large portions of the world,” he said as he headed back to the White House from his ten-day golfing holiday.
