This is still too much pseudo-democracy for me. We need real " representatives " who can be recalled if they do too much crap, independent of a legislative period. That would bring these expense knights and pension-entitlement-seekers up to speed. The way things are set up now, the people only have the choice of the colour of the varnish with which this simulation of democracy is painted.

That might be a small step towards a real democracy. But it won't work if 90 % of the population are candidates for assisted thinking. This is probably one of the reasons why socialism has failed so far. Either the people emancipate themselves or they are led to the slaughter as cattle. No matter what the organisation calls itself, capitalist "democracy" or socialist "dictatorship of the proletariat". Obedient underlings are shaved in both.
