anyway, it is theoretically possible but not highly probable. and system would not shut down completely. there are still some manual overrides. parts of the system would be up and running in 24 to 48 hours. and has been shown whole country's could be shut down for weeks without any serious problems. also. it takes time for food shortages and such things. for example:
