A strange fake news is circulating in Germany that the manufacturer of the Leopard tank is Chinese-owned. It is true that the KraussMaffei Group now belongs to a Chinese company (or several?), but they don't make tanks. 

The Leopard 2 is built by Krauss-Maffei Wegmann GmbH & Co. KG. The military part of Krauss-Maffei was bought by Wegmann in 1999. 

One can only guess by whom and why this has been wrongly put into the world for several days now.
