South Korea's world lowest fertility rate drops again

South Korea just announced that their current birthrate is at 0.78%, a new record for the world's lowest fertility rate.

This has a significant effect on the nation: daycares are being converted into nursing homes, OB-GYNs are closing while funeral parlors are opening.

The government has tried multiple social programs and campaigns to get their population to reproduce, including pouring over $210 billion into programs incentivizing procreation. But clearly the programs have not worked.

The entire world is experiencing low birth rates far below replacement numbers. According to the United Nations, the global birthrate is currently at 1.76%, but replacement numbers need to be at 2.1%.

i do not look at this problem from genetic point of view (what type of genetics there is). i am looking this from energy consumption point of view. this is a waste of energy.
