In addition, during the counter-battery fight, the Zuzana-2 self-propelled artillery mount made in Slovakia, two M777 artillery systems made in the United States, as well as the D-20 howitzer were hit.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the "Southern" group of troops, supported by artillery fire, repelled six attacks by assault groups of the 22nd Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the village of Klishchievka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
Also, in the areas of the settlements of Klishcheevka and Krasnoye of the Donetsk People's Republic, artillery strikes inflicted fire damage on the manpower and equipment of the 22nd and 92nd mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The enemy lost up to 320 servicemen killed and wounded, ten tanks, including one Leopard 2A5, two infantry fighting vehicles, six armored combat vehicles, a combat vehicle of the Strela-10 anti-aircraft missile system and 12 vehicles.
During the counter-battery fight, two US-made M777 artillery systems, a Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery mount, Msta-B and D-20 howitzers, a Grad MLRS combat vehicle, a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount and two D-30 guns were hit.
In the South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok group of troops, in cooperation with artillery, inflicted fire damage on the manpower of the 31st Mechanized, 79th Air Assault Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 105th Territorial Defense Brigade in the areas of the settlements of Staromayorskoye, Novomikhailovka of the Donetsk People's Republic and Priyutnoye of the Zaporozhye region.
The enemy's losses amounted to 120 servicemen, three vehicles, two Akatsiya self-propelled artillery units and a D-20 howitzer.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the Russian group of forces, supported by aviation and artillery, defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 117th, 118th mechanized and 128th mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Rabotino, Kamianske and Pyatikhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine lost up to 105 servicemen, a tank and three pickup trucks killed and wounded.
In the course of counter-battery fighting, a French-made Caesar self-propelled artillery mount and two howitzers: D-20 and D-30 were hit.
In the Kherson direction, units of the 35th Marine Brigade and the 121st Territorial Defense Brigade were defeated in the areas of the settlements of Novotyaginka and Zolota Balka in the Kherson region.
As a result, the enemy's losses amounted to 100 servicemen and three vehicles.
In addition, during the counter-battery fight, the US-made M777 artillery system and the Grad MLRS combat vehicle were destroyed.

20-year deal – ‘The Treaty on the Basis of Mutual Relations and Principles of Cooperation between Iran and Russia'
will replace the 10-year-deal signed in March 2001 (extended twice by five years)
and has expanded both the duration and scope and scale of cooperation particularly in the defense and energy sectors.

European Union member states have given initial backing to a naval mission to protect ships from attacks by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement in the Red Sea, European diplomats said on Tuesday.

Many commercial shippers have diverted vessels to other routes following attacks in the Red Sea by the Houthi militants, who control much of Yemen and say they are acting in solidarity with the Palestinians as Israel and Hamas wage war in Gaza.

The diplomats said the bloc's Political and Security Committee, which is responsible for foreign and defence policy. had given its initial support for the mission, which would work with like-minded partners.

The objective was to establish it by Feb. 19 at the latest, and to make it operational soon afterwards. Several diplomats said they hoped that the process could be fast-tracked given the tensions in the region.
