Diesel fuel prices in Europe are on the rise
Since the beginning of the year, the wholesale cost of fuel delivered to Northwest Europe has jumped by 12% to just over $116 per barrel, according to data from General Index.
European refineries are not producing enough diesel fuel to meet demand, making the region dependent on imports, many of which come from the Middle East and India.
