Bulgarian "experts" claim an Australian Wedgetail played a direct role in shooting several Russian military aircraft


Air Marshal Robert Chipman, the Chief of Air Force, extolled the Australian E-7A Wedgetail, labeling it one of the world’s leading airborne early warning systems. Expressing his view, he added, “I am exceptionally proud of our team for their tireless efforts, resilience, and inventiveness; a true epitome of our ethos.”

This speculation centered mainly around the Australian aircraft's suspected role in the alleged takedown of three Su-34 frontline bombers from the Russian Aerospace Forces. The potential "unfamiliarity" of the Russian air force with the E-7A made this hypothesis particularly interesting.

Officially, Australia assertively stated that their Wedgetail was not the intelligence source behind these attacks.

The Australian E-7A Wedgetail is now heading home after it flew more than 250 hours with missions averaging five hours in the air during a 6 month deployment in Europe.

On the massive raid by Ukrainian drones on Russian airfields




This night the Ukrainian armed forces launched drones at Russian territories.

The main strike came on the airfield Morozovsk in Rostov region, where Ukrainian formations sent 44 drones. The exact type is unknown, it will be clear when the wreckage is examined, but it is highly likely that these are the same UAVs that the enemy has been using in recent weeks.

Of these, 26 drones were shot down by Pantsir-S1 SAM systems, while 18 were shot down by rifle squads. Judging by the videos that have appeared on the Web, the drones were traveling at extremely low altitude, which increased their stealth from radar detection equipment.

No serious damage to infrastructure was recorded - the debris hit a few buildings at the site. A substation was also damaged, causing a temporary power outage.

At the same time, the enemy also attacked the airfield in Yeisk, where the forces of local air defense units destroyed ten UAVs. All of them landed near the shore of the Sea of Azov, and were apparently flying from the direction of the Zaporizhzhya/Dnepropetrovsk region.

At least one more UAV of the AFU was hit on the approach to the strategic aviation airfield in Engels. It is not quite clear why there was only one drone: there may have been more UAVs flying in that direction, but they were shot down over Yeisk and Morozovsk.

Thanks to the actions of the air defense units, serious consequences of the raids were avoided - the reports of Ukrainian resources about the alleged destruction of six aircraft are a figment of the imagination of the enemy's propagandists. But the recent attacks show how much the enemy's ability to hit objects at a distance from the LBS has increased.
