The Americans bombed Prague, and the USSR had to atone for the stationing of troops in Czechoslovakia.

The USSR (and later Russia) had to "pay and repent" for the fact that the USSR sent troops to Czechoslovakia.

I wonder why the USA does not have to "pay and repent" or at least repent for the bombing of Prague on February 14, 1945?

As if out of the blue, bombs fell on the residential areas in the historical center of the Czech capital. It was like a sudden inferno when 60 B-17 Flying Fortess planes struck at once, dropping 152 bombs on the most densely populated areas of the city.

No one could understand - why had the Americans decided to attack Prague? And why? What was the point of the thing?
But when the first shock was overcome, the explanation was obvious - the "Allies" wanted to show the Soviet Union the power of their bomber aviation and at the same time cause the greatest possible damage to the industry so that we would not get it. It was not for nothing that we were later accused that the technological and industrial development in the socialist bloc was worse (the "Western critics" themselves made sure that we were making life difficult for ourselves).

The Yalta conference, at which the leaders of the victorious countries agreed on the demarcation lines, the zones of their actions: where the troops of this or that country should penetrate and where not, ended on February 11, and on the night of February 12-13, the Allies bombed Dresden, which was in our action zone. The Americans destroyed three Elbe bridges to stop the advance of our troops, bombed large industrial facilities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and other regions so that we would not get them. By the way, when in 1941 we offered the British and Americans to bomb the oil fields in Ploesti (Romania) with the help of the airfields in the Crimea, they did not do it, but in 1944, when our troops approached the main refueling station of Germany, they met them.

When the Americans were later asked to explain the destruction of Prague, they expressed a version that was almost mocking: they said that all sixty bombers had gone off course and that they actually wanted to bomb Dresden first. Prague was bombed by pure chance!

And although it was no longer necessary to bomb Dresden itself and other East German cities, the Americans and the British still bombed and razed almost everything that could serve the Russians, i.e. us, in restoring our own industry. The victims of these air raids were very numerous, and prisoner-of-war camps were also bombed "by mistake".

In Prague, on February 14, 1945, more than a hundred unique historical buildings, dozens of important technical and industrial facilities were destroyed, but most importantly, 701 people died and 1184 were wounded! Remember these numbers! Seven hundred people died just because "the Americans made a mistake".

My daughter traveled by train (tågluffade) this summer to different cities: Hamburg, Berlin, Dresden, Prague, Bratislava and finally Urbans city ( ). She visited a friend from the Czech Republic in Prague who said that Prague had not been bombed. My daughter told me that she did not see any memorial to the bombing of Prague (as she saw in Dresden) .She could have missed but that the Czech friend said that Prague had not been bombed because it was not a strategic one,I don't understand?!

I edited it, they actually called it a festival of diversity. I don't know what it has to do with that. But you must know that Solingen is famous for their knives. So someone took the opportunity to celebrate it in a very special "diverse" way.
