Reminds me of the recent NATO summit where I read many comments from the MAGA crowd who gave the impression that they believed Trump wanted to pull the US out of the NATO and that he would have pushed hard for it only if it wasn't for the insistence on Europe who are the only ones that really want to keep NATO. Trump himself even said that NATO is primarily for the benefit of Europe rather than the US. Well, let's see about that shall we:

Trump claims it is Europe. I beg to differ.
Since NATO was founded not once has a European nation asked the U.S. for assistance in a war. Yet the U.S. has received the assistance of European member nations in American wars. Even when their citizens don't support the war. For example, Germany has more troops in Afghanistan than any nation other than the U.S. They fight and die in an American war. This despite most of their citizens opposing the war.
Also, NATO members supply the U.S. with bases for our navy, air force, marines, and army. Without these forward bases rapid response, resupply and air strikes would have been far more difficult in any conflict we have engaged in the Middle East or North Africa. Not to mention the massive military hospital in Germany that has saved the lives of thousands of American servicemen.
Our European NATO allies supply us with bases, men and materials, logistic support and many other critical needs that the U.S. would be either forced to pay for ourselves or do without. They have been critical to any successes we have had in our nation's conflicts in the Eastern Hemisphere. Saving American lives and American taxpayer dollars. Our Navy, Army and Air Force would have a difficult time operating on the world stage without NATO's support. France protected our left flank during the ground war was part of the first Gulf War. English and French air strikes took out the Iraqi airfields. This is but one of many cases we relied on our NATO allies in U.S. armed conflicts.
They have more than met the requirements of their treaty obligations. We have benefited far more from NATO than its European member nations. They have died and bled for us.
We cannot say the same for them since NATO was founded.
P.S. NATO was founded by the U.S. approaching Europe for their help in countering the Soviet Block. They did not come to us asking for our help.

With pompeo, Bolton and haley in the administration they are going to attack someone if not Iran I think they will use an excuse to go after hezbollah and Lebanon because hezbollah are allied to iran and helped assad and the massive amounts of oil and gas that was recently discovered in Lebanon that israel wants to steal.
