1/ Crimea was a "gift" from USSR traitor to Ukraine
2/ Russia took back their territory (they fought the Ottomans for it times ago)
3/ When you played and lost, at some point you should accept your loss and get away with honor while you still can

Otherwise... It won't be just Crimea, and right now Russia has been "fairplay". When your neighbor is bigger than you, even if you have so called "friends", you just avoid messing with him !

plus Ukraine is looking like a shit hole country more and more, so they might focus on revitalizing their economy instead of playing sissy and trying to provoke WW3

My fear is they will do something big this time. Both US and British military heads have recently said Russian needs to be put in their place militarily. Kiev needs a little war to blame everything on Russia, plus they are desperate to stop Nordstream 2.
