Moreover, it seems to be mistery how they were able to withstand ISIS attacks for such long time. Their defense crumbled within 4 days now ffs.

Very likely. It gonna be announced later. The main goal is to thwart Turkish incursion now. It is more important and it's decisive for intra-Syrian reconciliation. After that, Kurds will be very obliged to Damascus.

Thing is ISIS weren't a mobilised professional army Turkey however has manpower and a full military structure to bring to bare against the Kurdish.
Thankfully now they have a deal with Assad to deploy units preventing a Turkish advancement it's time for the Kirds to eat humble pie and enter serious negotiations with Assad.

Guess how many SDF fighters without a Syrian ID we will come across in east Syria
Many of them came from Turkey and Iraq, to claim a Kurdish majority in east Syria in a preparation for an independent entity (the long gone wet dream).
The plan all along!

Still, ISIS were able to overrun half of Iraq and Syria. I mean they were able to completely obliterate regular national armies. But not Kurds in a few cities. It clearly supports my thesis that ISIS were directly supported by the US/NATO. You remember, we argued over this several times. I mean western support for ISIS.
Anyway, they were supported till they reached Plan B (or, probably, Plan C) proxy force. Suddenly, weak Kurds withstanded assaults of ISIS headchoppers for years... Can you see what I can see?

maybe..just maybe caliphate (ISIS) did not attack them with full force. maybe they only pretended to fight but they were really having low level fighting to show the world they are doing something. that would explain their success around area of Deir ez-Zor (oil rich parts). if you remember caliphate was defeated in that area very fast. kurds let go caliphate fighters from raqqa. kurds have taking caliphate prisoners in large amounts. i am not aware that syrian government has such large amount of prisoners from caliphate.
it was make pretend war between kurds and caliphate. this is real between them and turks. turks really want them dead.
kurds will let go caliphate fighters. do not forget that in caliphate women and children are also fighters. this members of caliphate will either go to attack syrian army or more realisticly go to turkey and then to EU. this are the people who know how to fight in urban centres and are really good fighters. maybe members of caliphate will dispose erdogan..he did betray them, in any way this is just the end of kurds and NATO involvement in syria. this situation is tranfering to EU. they have nowhere to go
