Then, htey ssold themselves to the western powers, as useful idiots, a tool to dismantle the country. They believedn in pie in the sky promissed by the globalists. now they have nothing. Rojava is gone, their "allies" are gone and all that remained is need to beg for protection from Syrian army and allies. The side that they called "Iranian militias" or "regime forces". How pathetic.
Moreover, it seems to be mistery how they were able to withstand ISIS attacks for such long time. Their defense crumbled within 4 days now ffs.
Thing is ISIS weren't a mobilised professional army Turkey however has manpower and a full military structure to bring to bare against the Kurdish.
Thankfully now they have a deal with Assad to deploy units preventing a Turkish advancement it's time for the Kirds to eat humble pie and enter serious negotiations with Assad.
Still, ISIS were able to overrun half of Iraq and Syria. I mean they were able to completely obliterate regular national armies. But not Kurds in a few cities. It clearly supports my thesis that ISIS were directly supported by the US/NATO. You remember, we argued over this several times. I mean western support for ISIS.
Anyway, they were supported till they reached Plan B (or, probably, Plan C) proxy force. Suddenly, weak Kurds withstanded assaults of ISIS headchoppers for years... Can you see what I can see?
Just my guess: First the West was able to support ISIS through Turkey. But then Assad gave a free hand to the isolated Kurds in the Northeast corner of Syria. He was unable to support them at this time anyhow and the Kurds were able to clean a strip of land between ISIS and Turkey. This made support of ISIS difficult through Turkey and Turkey was upset about the nearly independence of the Kurds. It was easier for the West now to support ISIS by bribing the Kurds. Just my thoughts.

When Turkish forces fight Assad the media calls them rebels and revolutionaries.

The most important thing is that US and their partners fled from Syria. Globalists were kicked out of the country (well, Al-Tanf is still the issue). Land corridor between Iran and Lebanon is opened. And the whole regime change project is in tatters...
