https://abcnews.go.com/International/wireStory/russia-commissions-intercontinental-hypersonic-weapon-67942398
New intercontinental weapon can fly 27 times the speed of sound became operational Friday; put on duty in the Orenburg southern Ural Mountains.
Currently, Avangard is mounted on Soviet-built RS-18B ICBM, code-named SS-19 by NATO.
Later Avangard will be mounted on prospective Sarmat heavy ICBM when it becomes operational.
Putin describes Avangard as technological breakthrough; comparable to Soviet launch of the first satellite 1957.
Avangard is launched atop ICBM intercontinental ballistic missile; after separation makes sharp maneuvers making it
"It heads to target like a meteorite, like a fireball," designed using composite materials to withstand temperatures up to 2,000 C (3,632 F)
It carries a nuclear weapon of up to 2 megatons.
December 2018, Avangard launched from southern Urals; successfully hit practice target in Kamchatka, 6,000 kilometers (3,700 miles) away.
The Defense Ministry said last month it demonstrated the Avangard to a team of U.S. inspectors
as part of transparency measures under the New Start nuclear arms treaty with the U.S.
U.S. plans to study the idea of basing interceptors in space to strike launched enemy missiles during first minutes of flight during booster engines burning.
Defense Secretary Mark Esper has called it a priority and believes “it's probably a matter of a couple of years” before the U.S. has a hypersonic weapon.

Surprise, surprise, Wikileaks didn't leak the next email in this chain from the OPCW questioning why Ian Henderson was creating rogue reports.
— Nick Waters (@N_Waters89) December 27, 2019
This email also quite clearly contradicts "Alex's" claim that Henderson was in the FFM. pic.twitter.com/qcJkAyXe9W
Naturally, the mentioned email is published on Wikileaks:

Media silence on this story is its own scandal. That includes the 2 most well-funded adversarial outlets, @democracynow & @TheIntercept. Their coverage of Douma has consisted of 1) promoting pro-war narrative 2) when OPCW leaks came out, minimize them (DN) & ignore them (DN-TI). https://t.co/SIO5YTzKvw
