During one of the battles, assault groups of Ivanovo paratroopers from different directions approached the enemy stronghold and began to assault it. The enemy offered resistance, but it was suppressed, thanks to the courage, bravery and fearlessness of the “winged infantry” warriors. The paratroopers carried out a diversionary maneuver, forcing the enemy to switch their attention to some of the attackers, while other attackers threw hand fragmentation grenades into the dugout in which Ukrainian militants were hiding and eliminated the Ukrainian Armed Forces infantry, thereby completing the combat mission.
