This morning, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched a group strike with high-precision long-range air- and sea-based weapons, as well as unmanned aerial vehicles, on enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine that produce unmanned boats, coastal missile systems, missiles for multiple launch rocket systems and explosives. The target of the strike has been achieved. All objects are hit.
In the Kupiansk direction, units of the "Western" group of troops defeated enemy manpower in the areas of the settlements of Novoselovskoye in the Lugansk People's Republic, Kislovka and Berestove in the Kharkiv region.
In addition, four attacks by assault groups of the 32nd Mechanized, 25th Airborne Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the 13th Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine in the area of the Senkovka railway station and the village of Terny of the Donetsk People's Republic were repelled.

In the Krasnolimansky direction, units of the Center group of troops defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Dzerzhinskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic and repelled two attacks by assault groups of the 60th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of the village of Yampolovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The enemy's losses amounted to 220 servicemen and three vehicles.
In the Donetsk direction, units of the "Southern" group of troops occupied more advantageous lines and positions, and also defeated concentrations of manpower and equipment of the 22nd and 28th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as the 114th territorial defense brigade in the areas of the settlements of Bogdanovka, Klishcheevka and Kurdyumovka of the Donetsk People's Republic.
In addition, ten attacks by the formations of the 112th Territorial Defense Brigade and the 79th Air Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repelled in the areas of the settlements of Krasnoye, Leninskoye, Shumy and Pobeda of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The enemy lost up to 290 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and 13 vehicles killed and wounded.
In the course of counter-battery fighting, the following were hit: a US-made M109 Paladin self-propelled artillery mount, a D-20 gun, two D-30 howitzers, and an ammunition depot of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was destroyed.
In the South Donetsk direction, units of the Vostok group of troops, in cooperation with aviation and artillery, improved the situation along the front line and defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Urozhaynoye and Staromayorskoye of the Donetsk People's Republic.
The enemy's losses amounted to 195 servicemen, three vehicles, two Gvozdika self-propelled artillery units, as well as an Akatsiya self-propelled gun.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, units of the Russian group of troops, supported by artillery, defeated the manpower and equipment of the 128th Mountain Assault, 33rd, 118th Mechanized Brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of the settlements of Zherebyanka and Rabotino in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The enemy lost up to 30 servicemen, two armored combat vehicles and three vehicles.
In the Kherson direction, as a result of the active actions of units of the Russian group of troops and comprehensive fire damage, the losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine per day amounted to 45 servicemen, five vehicles and a US-made M777 artillery system.
Operational-tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation hit depots of aviation weapons and fuel, manpower and military equipment in 119 districts.
Air defense systems shot down a MiG-29 aircraft of the Ukrainian Air Force near the village of Alekseevka in the Donetsk People's Republic.
During the day, four rockets of the HIMARS multiple launch rocket system were intercepted.

According to a new study by Sierra Solter, megaconstellations could alter and weaken Earth’s magnetic field.

Solter is a graduate student at the University of Iceland, working on her PhD in plasma physics. She recently realized something overlooked by many senior colleagues:
 
“More than 500,000 satellites are expected in decades ahead, primarily to build internet megaconstellations. Every satellite that goes up will eventually come down, disintegrating in Earth’s atmosphere. This will create a massive layer of conducting, electrically charged particles around our planet.”
Much of this activity is driven by SpaceX and its growing mega-constellation of Starlink internet satellites. Copycat mega-constellations by other companies and countries will only multiply these concerns.
Metal debris from a single deorbited Starlink satellite is 7 million times more massive than the Van Allen Belts. An entire megaconstellation is billions of times more massive. These ratios point to a big problem.

“The space industry is adding enormous amounts of material to the magnetosphere in comparison to natural levels of particulate matter,” says Solter. “Due to the conductive nature of the satellite debris, this may perturb or change things.”

Maybe that we'll get a world war soon. The environmental damage from those satellites will be small by comparison.
