An Irish pastor Clifford Peeples who was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possession of a pipe bomb and hand grenades has links to Ukraine.

Clifford Peeples travelled to Ukraine to meet with former IRA agent Peter Keeley, who has been working with far right groups in the region. Keeley was a soldier who was planted within the South Down IRA.

So why were Keeley and IRA agent Peeples, who are ideological former enemies staying together in the same apartment in Ukraine?

In recent years Keeley, who operated as an agent under the name Kevin Fulton, has been working for the former leader of the former English Defence League Stephen Yaxley Lennon, better known as Tommy Robinson.

On September 8th 1943, the Czech Communist, journalist and writer, Julius Fučík was executed by the Nazis in the Berlin Plötzensee prison.

Fučík was a staunch anti-fascist and during the Second World War he was a leader of the Resistance Movement. Since 1941, a member of the illegal Central Committee of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia. He was in charge of directing the underground publications of the Communist Party. 

During the period of the German occupation of Czechoslovakia, Fučík published a series of patriotic articles and essays under pseudonym. 

On April 24th, 1942, he was arrested by the Gestapo along with six other members of the resistance movement.

While in Prague's Pankratz prison, he wrote his most famous book “Notes from the Gallows” - a literary proof of the strength and human depth of Fučík in the face of death; his heroism, patriotism and faith in victory over fascism was never dimmed despite extensive torture. The manuscript was written on small notes of paper, smuggled out and kept safe.
In 1945, the book was published, it was later translated into 70 different languages. 

Julius Fučík was posthumously awarded the International Peace Prize in 1950.

At the IV Congress of the International Organisation of Journalists in 1958 in Bucharest, the International Day of Journalists’ Solidarity was decided as September 8th in honour and memory of Julius Fučík.

Today, the solidarity between Journalists is wearing thin, say the least. Along the same deviding lines as during the cold war against the USSR and the Socialist countries, the lives that matter in the west does not include Russians and dissidents. They are "Putin puppets", which equates to "not worthy of human recognition" - in the 1950s, the scaremonger tool was "Kremlin's hand", which was pointed out "behind" the Socialist countries' International Day of Journalists' Solidarity. 

The construction of "Evil" acquires a constant stream of accusations, of labelling, smearing and demonising, which the western "Journalists" deliver in such abundance regarding Russia, and China, and... who are authoritarian and oppressive with no civil rights or uncorrupted media.

And from such projection and perversion, and from such silence!, come the self-righteous calls of the PACE for "democracy in Russia", and "support for political prisoners", while not noticing the logs in their own eyes: Julian Assange and Pablo González being held as political prisoners in the PACE countries themselves. State-sanctioned and cancelled British journalist Graham Phillips, and the criminalised, now fugitive, German journalist Alina Lipp, with no UNESCO-sponsored International Federation of Journalists speaking on their behalf. While in the West's darling, Ukraine, Oles Buzina, Gonzalo Lira met a grim end. The same Ukraine that in Donbass 2014 killed Russian journalists Anton Voloshin, Igor Kornelyuk, Anatoly Klyan and Italian journalist Andrea Rockelli - no outrage voiced by the "civilised world".

Julius Fučík's name has stood the test of time, we remember his humanity and his courage. 
The memory of the talking heads of today will be like ashes in the wind.
