ShockJock wrote:KneelB4Zod! wrote:Hey, Hal, nice to see you around again. I'm interested what's your thoughts on Trump's decision do deploy infamous Abrams and, overall, regarding the attempted coup in Venezuela. I would appreciate if you can comment.
There are widely conflicting reports coming out of Venezuela.
On the one hand, NUMEROUS reports of severe food shortages, people eating from garbage dumpsters, killing cats, dogs and even rats to eat, no toilet paper, no medicines, etc. There are so many of these reports, from so many areas inside Venezuela, and from so many different people, that I find as a fact, they are the truth.
So to me, there is, in fact, a serious humanitarian crisis in that country.
It is widely stated that the reason for the troubles in Venezuela is a corrupt Socialist government. Based on my personal life experience, I find this to be quite likely.
There are also numerous reports that the elections there were LEGITIMATE. Monitored by outside entities, inspected, audited and found to be valid.
Thus, it seems to me the people of Venezuela HAVE the government THEY voted for!
So as an outsider, when I look at Venezuela, I see a country in turmoil on multiple levels due to the government THEY chose to elect!
Part of me says, they chose it, let them suffer from it.
Another part of me says, we have the ability to do several things to alleviate the troubles there, and if WE (the USA) don't do those helpful things, who will? I mean, after all, the rest of the world isn't stepping up. As usual.
Ya know, its been this way for all of my life. A problem arises in some shit-hole country on the planet, and unless MY country does something about it, no one else lifts a finger. It's gotten old.
I am tired of being the world's policeman. I am far more tired of being the world's nanny; propping-up failed political systems; providing food, water, tons of money, and other aid, to people who are so fucking dumb, they freely voted for the very system of government now failing them.
So I am torn between saying "They voted for it, let them have what they voted for - we should stay out of it" and "These people are too stupid to fix things on their own, and they need us to come in and fix it for them."
As I sit here outside New York City on a beautiful, clear Sunday morning, enjoying the bright sunshine, clear skies, and such, I think my take on it is: Let them live or die on their own. I really don't care anymore.
Thanks you for response. I have different opinions on some points.
Mainly I think that situation in Venezuela is largerly cuased by US sanctions and restrictions. Venezuela is extremely rich country. It has world's largest oil resevers. However, they don't want to share their resources with US based corporations. So, similary as Iran in '53, US tries do overthrow legitimate government and replace it with puppet regime. Washington did it befor and will try to do it again. We all know it. Actually, Bolton said it very clearly - they are trying to stole Venezuelan oil. I'm certain that the humanitarian card is nothing else than fabricated pretext. Venezuela doesn't need US intervention, Venezuela needs lift of sanctions, return of its gold and return of its money. Venezuela hes its partners and allies and, similary as in Syria, Washington tries to change status quo by violence and economic terror.
Let's not forget zionist interests as well! Brazil's Bolsonaro is hevily pro-zionist figure, similary as Trump and his whole government. Madure, on other hand, supports Palestinian case. That's another reason why Washington wants to remove him. His partnership with Russia and China is just another reason for neocons to try to remove hiim.
And, just to put it in contrast - there is much worse situation in Yemen. There is real famine of biblical proportions. Yet, the blocade of the poorest country of region is still fully supported by Trump's government. US still fully supports totalitarian Saudi regime iin its genocidal war against Yemen. Humanitarian rhetoric in Venezuelan case is very poor masquarade.

revenge attack for this??
Iran warned neighboring Pakistan on Saturday it would "pay a heavy price" for allegedly harboring militants who killed 27 of its elite Revolutionary Guards in a suicide bombing near the border earlier this week, state television reported.Revolutionary Guards chief Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari also accused Tehran's regional rival Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates of supporting militant Sunni groups that attack Iranian forces, saying they could face "reprisal operations."
Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and the UAE deny backing such militants.
"Why do Pakistan's army and security body ... give refuge to these anti-revolutionary groups? Pakistan will no doubt pay a high price," Jafari said in remarks live on state television.
Jafari was addressing a large crowd gathered for the funeral of the victims of Wednesday's suicide bombing, which took place in a southeastern region where security forces are facing a rise in attacks by militants from the country's Sunni Muslim minority.
"Just in the past year, six or seven suicide attacks were neutralized but they were able to carry out this one," Jafari told the mourners, who packed a square in the central city of Isfahan and roads leading to it.
The Sunni group Jaish al Adl (Army of Justice), which says it seeks greater rights and better living conditions for the ethnic minority Baluchis, claimed responsibility for the attack.
"The treacherous Saudi and UAE governments should know that Iran's patience has ended and we will no longer stand your secret support for these anti-Islam criminals," Jafari said.
"We will avenge the blood of our martyrs from the Saudi and UAE governments and ask the President (Hassan Rouhani) ... to leave our hands free more than ever for reprisal operations," Jafari told the crowd, drawing chants of "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest).
Iran's Shi'ite Muslim authorities say militant groups operate from safe havens in Pakistan and have repeatedly called on the neighboring country to crack down on them.

Not much of such trade talks between Russia and KSA was finished. This is ongoing for years. However, I can see it rather as an attempt to undermine Washington's hooliganism on the wrold's market, attempts to sanction anyone who dares to buy Russian products etc.

With supposed American allies India ,Saudi Arabia and Turkey all buying the S-400 the US has been shown to make empty threats it will be interesting to see what the US does if say Italy decides to buy the S-400 because Italy wants to break up the EU and Nato anyway. I can't believe Russia is trusting Saudi Arabia not to give the S -400 over to the US to look for weaknesses though.

Let's not forget S-400 will be delivered when the start of S-500 deployment will start (I think the first S-500 units should be deployed by the end of this year if I remember it correctly). Also Russia may not dhand over tech specs of the system.

US army says that if the SDF will get aid from #Russia or #Syria after its withdrawal, it would stop helping the forces. Very logical action - US abandons the Kurds for #Turkey and wonders why they seek help in other places. #Trump fell into Erdogan trap

Lol the blonde bitch was completely stunned that no one claps his crap! Too hilarious!
As bonus, polish PM cancelled his visit of Jerusalem where V4 summit will be held. He's pissed at Netanyahu because Bibi blamed Poles for participation in Holocaust. The Iran-hate fest went well...
