This is Carl Friedrich von Weizsäcker not Richard von Weizsäcker the later Federal President of Germany his younger brother. Carl Friedrich had studied Physics under Heisenberg, the discoverer of Quantum Mechanics and the head of the research group, that should develop a nuclear bomb under Hitler.
