The idea comes as a response to the recent threat posed to Israeli shipping by Yemen’s Armed Forces and Ansarallah resistance movement

The most powerful Jewish interest groups in the US have got together to form the 10/7 Project - an effort to combat “Jewish hate in America and the world” and to dispel “myths” about the day’s events.
The org will fund a centralised communications operation to feed mainstream newsrooms with ‘fact-based information’ about the war, and will also release a daily newsletter to inform news outlets what is being ‘underreported.’
It will be the biggest unified effort from the Jewish lobby in recent memory, with the American Jewish Committee (AJC), The Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish organisations working together.

Re: Main news thread - conflicts, terrorism, crisis from around the globe
Finnish "fuel tourism" (when savvy Finns came to the Russia for cheap petrol) has come to its end - border guards no longer let cars with jerry cans through.
However, no one has banned delivery from Russia. But even here everything is not easy - fuel can be paid for only by Russian payment systems. Freezing Finns have started to get MIR cards en masse for cashless payment for Russian goods.
If at the end of August there were about 100 applications for cards, now their number is steadily moving towards the four-digit number.
It is noted that many Finns have started buying not only fuel in Russia, but also firewood for houses. The Finnish authorities condemn such actions, but they cannot do anything about their freezing citizens.
* Russian payment system (analogue to VISA, Master card, etc.)

"Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Alen Simonyan will not take part in the CSTO meeting in Moscow. He has informed the Speaker of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin about it by sending him an official letter. The delegation of the Armenian parliament will not take part in the meeting either," Simonyan's press secretary said in a statement.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan skipped the CSTO summit in Minsk on 23 November. At the same time, Armenia has repeatedly stated that the country has no plans to withdraw from the organisation. However, the country seems to have plans to chase two birds at once

This statement was made by the former Zelensky's right hand, Alexey Arestovich:
"The Americans cannot produce a million shells a year. And North Korea can. What kind of war and victory are we talking about, what boundaries of 1991? The West came to the war with his pants down, he turned out to be a naked king, he will not be able to win this war. I see fewer and fewer chances for the West to win in a clash with the global South and East."

Zambeezi wrote:NATO should be ready for direct war with Russia in 3 years - head of Polish National Security Bureau
In an interview with Nasz Dziennik, Jacek Sevier commented on the assessment by German experts that six years would be enough for Russia to prepare for a direct conflict with NATO after the freezing of the war in Ukraine;
He believes this assessment is "too optimistic": "If we want to avoid war, NATO's eastern flank should adopt a shorter three-year time horizon for preparing for confrontation. Now is the time to build a capability on the eastern flank that would send a clear signal of deterrence to aggression," Sevier said;
He also calls for a further increase in the size of the Polish army.
@ukraine_watch
This Polish army is worrying me. I see them taking Lemberg/Lwow and threatening Eastern Germany. There won't be peace in Europe with an independent Poland. What we need is a German-Russian border and an German-Russian peace treaty. But I am a man of the 18th or 19th century.

New study from the University of Amsterdam reveals the enormous costs of mass immigration to the Netherlands over a nearly 25-year timeframe, with the 278-page report adding to the growing list of evidence refuting claims that migrants contribute to national budgets in the West, create jobs, and prop up faltering pension systems.
The landmark study, entitled “Borderless Welfare State: The Consequences of Immigration on Public Finances,” shows that net costs of immigration to the Dutch public sector over the period 1995-2019 were an astounding €400 billion, averaging €17 billion a year, with a peak of €32 billion in 2016 due to the 2015 “refugee crisis.”
To put these figures in perspective, the Dutch government spent around €30 billion on education in 2016, €2 billion less than it spent on migrants in the same year.

Brazil reinforces border with Venezuela and Guyana over Esequibo tensions
BRASILIA, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Brazil's military is reinforcing its northern border due to rising tensions between its neighbors Venezuela and Guyana over Venezuela's claim to the Esequibo region, the Ministry of Defense said on Tuesday.
The four-wheel drive Guaicuru armored vehicles will join an upgraded 18th Mechanized Cavalry Regiment whose force will increase to 600 soldiers to improve security along the border and intensify surveillance to avoid surprises, a military source told Reuters.
Brazil's top diplomat for Latin America and the Caribbean, Gisela Padovan, said the main road connection between Venezuela and Guyana is through Brazilian territory due the inaccessible terrain of the Esequibo, but its use in any military action would not be accepted by her country.

Pan-Africanism is sweeping the Sahel. Three regional states - Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger - could be poised to form a confederation. The foreign ministers of each have just thrashed out the details at a two-day meet in Bamako - and will each now advise their respective bosses to proceed with the plan, with the eventual formation of a federation in mind.
The consequences of such a union would be huge - literally: a Sahelian Federation comprising the three would become the largest state in Africa and overtake India as the 8th largest in the world. It would bring together 70-million people - and enjoy an abundance of resources, from cattle and cotton, to gold, uranium and oil.
https://t.me/AfricanStream/2289
Continued….Mali is constructing West Africa’s biggest gold refinery, with Burkina also building one - while a 2,000 km pipeline from Niger to international markets has been commissioned.
Those steering the ship in Bamako, Niamey and Ouagadougou would make their Pan-African forbears - like Kwame Nkrumah, Patrice Lumumba and Thomas Sankara - truly proud.
One brother who clearly is up for a federation has made a beautiful video in which he illustrates what it would mean in geographic terms. Who else is up for it? Have a watch and let us know in the comments if you are!

The political truce in Ukraine is over. The unified front has been broken as the country contemplates a bleak future on the battlefield. The mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy of holding too much power and leading the country towards authoritarianism.
“We will no longer be any different from Russia, where everything depends on the whim of one man,” Klitschko told the German weekly Der Spiegel last Friday.
Ukraine’s tumultuous political life came together the day that Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. But almost two years later, the tension can no longer hide behind tired patriotic messages of unity. Klitschko — who has been the mayor of the capital for nine years and was also a presidential candidate — has given two interviews that signal a new phase in Ukraine’s political life.
The mayor of Kyiv has taken advantage of the growing unrest that is gaining ground in society. In his interviews, Klitschko criticized Zelenskiy for having made multiple mistakes, the main one being not preparing Ukraine for an invasion. “People wonder why we weren’t better prepared for this war, why Zelenskiy denied until the last moment that it would come… or [how] the Russians could get to Kyiv so quickly,” Klitschko told the Swiss edition of 20 Minutes on Saturday.

Ukrainian war correspondent Roman Bochkala accidentally revealed the country where Ukraine organized the production of munitions. Azerbaijan became known, noted RTVI correspondent Alexey Sochnev.
In his Telegram channel, the journalist reported that Ukraine had commenced its own production of 122mm shells for the D-30 howitzer. The war correspondent posted a photo report from his visit to the production site, specifying that it was established in one of the 'partner countries.'
In one of the photographs from the workshop where Bochkala holds a flag, there are two columns on his left and right displaying information with the symbolism of the Azerbaijani group of companies, Palladium. The company's partners' page includes 'Ukroboronprom.'

The president of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, will not attend the inauguration of Javier Milei as president of Argentina on December 10, as confirmed to the G1 portal by the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency of the Republic of Brazil.
Likewise, the official sources cited by the portal added that Brazil will be represented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mauro Vieira.

Yury Podolyaka, journalist
:black_small_square: Western experts say that the West is sending signals to Russia about its readiness to negotiate on Ukraine. But Russia does not react to these signals: realizing that its position is improving every month, it ignores all these statements.
In essence, Moscow is demanding capitulation of the Kiev regime, which it is not ready for yet.
:black_small_square: About 40 thousand shells for 2024 from the Rheinmetall concern: that's about 3.5 thousand shells a month. The Ukrainian armed forces, already experiencing shell starvation, are now using 6,000 shells a day.
:black_small_square: And for 2025 we are not talking about hundreds of thousands, but tens of thousands of shells. Even if there are 100 thousand shells, it's less than 10 thousand a month, literally for two or three days. There are no shells.
:black_small_square: The factories they are building now won't start up until 2025 at the earliest. The West is worried that Russia will just militarily defeat the AFU in 2024. This is a blow not only to invested resources, but also to credibility: "What can the US even do?" some countries will wonder. - some countries will wonder. So they don't have a dilemma - they have a stalemate.
If there is such a stalemate, why is the front line not changing much? And the population of Ukraine is being informed that everything is fine.
:black_small_square: We can move the front line, but it will be at the expense of the losses of our soldiers. The front line in this case is not as important as the depletion of the enemy's resources.
:black_small_square: Motivation in the Ukrainian army is low; in October, the number of men captured across Ukraine amounted to less than half of those who had left: Ukraine lost the strength of about three brigades.
:black_small_square: At the same time, we are putting more than a thousand additional men into service every day: more than a thousand men a day are signing contracts. Plus we are receiving more and more equipment and ammunition from our factories. The AFU already has four times less ammunition than we do. And the situation is getting worse every month.

Botswana said it would extend and expand restrictions on imports of some fresh produce as it tries to become self-sufficient in food and cut its import bill.
The ban on imports of tomatoes, potatoes, onions and other produce - which has angered farmers in neighbouring South Africa and was due to expire at the end of December - would now run until the end of 2025, the agriculture ministry said.
The number of restricted items would also double to 32 from July next year, the ministry added.
The wait until July would act as a grace period to give Botswana's "farmers some time to plant so that local produce can be ready," it said.
The drought-prone country's agricultural sector is relatively small, accounting for about 5% of economic output, with local farmers squeezed by cheaper imports from South Africa.

La Camorra is on road nr. 10 from Guyana City to Brazil. This road is the only connection to Esequiba going via Brazil. But one river is crossing this road and running down to the border with Guiana. At the border, there is an island in this river: Isla Anacoco. The border is crossing the island.
This would be the natural way for the Venezuelan forces for an invasion.

Nicaragua recalls ambassador from Argentina due to Milei criticism
Nicaragua makes astonishing move and recalls its ambassador to Argentina due to “repeated” statements against Daniel Ortega’s government by president-elect Javier Milei.
“The withdrawal is effective immediately,” before Milei's swearing-in as president on December 10, it added.
Officials appointed by Milei have said that they deliberately excluded Ortega from invitations to the inauguration, as well as the presidents of Cuba, Venezuela and Iran.
Milei has previously said that he would not further “relations with communists, including Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, Nicaragua or China."
“We have circulated the note of our foreign minister, Denis Moncada, informing the withdrawal of our ambassador ... representing us in Argentina who is already en route to Nicaragua,” said Vice-President Rosario Murillo, Ortega's wife, in comments to local media.
“For the reasons explained there, our ambassador returns with dignity,” added Murillo, who is also the government spokeswoman.
